So are we all just wearing our brands, or should we talk name tags too? Smile

Hi
For the people in Chicago, if I remember correctly the following axon, 41.889273 -87.626523 Chicago River IL,
http://www.terraserver-usa.com/image.aspx?s=10&Lon=-87.626523&Lat=41.889273&w=1 , was a payphone infront of the Chicago Suntimes Building, well it isn't there anymore, it was knocked down for the start of construction for Trump Towers, here is the news link
http://abclocal.go.com/wls/news/102804_ns_trump.html. I hope I'm wrong on this one.

Ehh... anybody got any imput on this? Also, are you all using iron on transfer thingy-ma-bobers?

I like it. The only thing is if you print it off of your home computer, will the ink bleed? Since it is all one color, you know. An alternative may be to go to a printing shop, maybe.

What if nametags are part of when we get to the event? I have a hunch we will get name tags. Thats just me though... just wishful thinking possibly.

EDIT: I didn't even say what I was going to originally post about. Yes, we are using iron on transfers. At this point the exercise is too close for anyone to send out for shirts.

Hey, you did a great job.

I sometimes forget which one of us said a particular thing at a particular time... so no worries. She pointed it out to me when we got home from work and I didn't even know what she was talking about! Wink

We used iron on transfers as well, and they worked really well. The only problem was that before we designed the shirts, I bought a gray blank shirt to do it on, and as you can tell, most of the back is gray. It doesn't look that bad, but you can't read it all. So just be sure you pick the right color shirt, and it should turn out fine. I agree on the nametags thing, they will have to keep track of who is who, and I think nametags would be a great way of doing that. I think when we sign in they will give us some kind of nametag. My question is, if we are playing Halo 2, are we going to be able to choose controller settings? Like sensitivity, and inverted controls? That can really destroy my hopes of playing well if I have to play on default instead of inverted.

Another Knoxvillian

I finally just got my confirmation. I see that there are a couple of other people from East Tennessee going. I had planned on taking a flight but as Tycho so elgantly put

Any chance of car pooling with someone. I would be willing to chip in more then my share of gas money for the chance to have someone to talk to on the trip. If I dont get a response here, I will see you at the phone tomorrow (Woot! and axon on a day that I dont HAVE to be at work)

I'm not too worried about being able to choose controller settings, but i am wondering if i'll be able to use my xbox live gamertag. It'd be nice to be able to keep the stats that we accumulate at this thing.

MAP UPDATED ON PAGE 19

Okay Troops!

I went back to collect some intel and came up with a map.
Please DL it and give me some comments regarding how we should coordinate.

There is a "blow-up" addition I made and where I have noted "more shops and food" there is a Chipotle Restraunt (847-517-8670) right there. It's the closest place to Gameworks/Lowes. I called up and spoke to someone named David that was receptive us making a reservation for at least 20 People at 4pm (I was just checking how much room they had and how busy it would be.) He mentioned that they did not have a spearate room for a private party, but would be happy to accomadate if possible.

Also, if we get coordinated enough, I've got an A$$ load of caution tape and we could put sequester part of the Parking lot for a "tailgatepartyesq" ho down. Area 1B or 2B in the parking lot would be ideal.

I keep going through this thread to keep track of when who is comming early, and when they will arrive. I don't know how to best organize this besides people chiming in here.

Decals etc

Hey guys, firstly here is what I made for the Goddess Army - http://spork.ofdoom.com/lj/h2/phaedra/ check it out, it's too big for me to upload here. Also, I have a shirt coming from http://www.cafepress.com/ilovebs/ , but It'll be here on the 4th (MI), and I'll be leaving probably before it gets here.

SO... I'm going to make something similar to the Value shirt there with Iron-on. I would suggest adding your name to the iron-on, makes everything very simple. Smile

I'll be there , I just don't know how fast I'll finish my midterm, which determines when I'll make it.

I love this idea! I hope the weather holds up for it. What does everyone think? I think that would work!

Thanks for the map too, Spie! Smile

Woodfield police would decend on us so fast our heads would spin. NOT a good idea.
