If you see this before heading to the Training exercise do yourself a favor and print your e-mail confirmation. It will make things much easier for you. A bunch of us got here before 6pm and there was already 30+ people in line ahead of us. Head upstairs to theatre 15 at the end of the hall. You can't miss the sea of people.

Nice to meet those of you I did...

It was nice to put faces to names. Nice to meet the Goddess Squad as well...

G'night.

i second that, it was good to meet some of you, although i didn't meet nearly as many as i would have liked.

also, i didn't get to play halo 2... and neither did TwilighT, who also came up from Knoxville.

... the sense of disorganization was really astounding Sad halo 2 looks pretty sweet though.

Wow, you are absolutely spot on... I think that sometimes the situation just seemed as if it was being handled with pure incompetence.. I didn't get to play either, so I can understand how I'm sure many others feel... Especially seeing as just about everybody around me got to play by going up when other people's names (who didn't show up to the event) were called.. I guess that's what I get for trying to follow the rules for once.

Anyway, I'll have the game Tuesday at 12:01, and I definitely didn't have to drive in from out of state, so I don't have too much room to complain.

WOW it seemed to me like I was the only one not to play, LOL. My friends got to play, but I didn't Sad . Anyway it was pretty sweet to see Halo 2 on the big screen. And it did suck that people went up to play by going up when other people's names (who didn't show up to the event) were called. But I am so happy about the Ilovebees badge and DVD Very Happy

I've noted my thoughts on some of the negative parts of the evening in the "Report In" thread on the updates board.

I wish I could have gone elsewhere afterwards to better meet some of you folks, but I had to sort some priorities. I hope you all had a good time, negativities aside, and it was nice to hear you cheer for me when I was called.
Thank you. Good luck to all of you on your rides home, and thank you for being a positive, happy, fun force in the theater. You guys are cards.

had i realized that the entire crew wasnt going to get to play i would have given my turn to some one else that did more work than me. i kinda feel bad about taking it away from someone else...i just wish that they would have kept trak of who registered first so that all the out of towners would have been able to play.

Hey, I didn't get to play either, but I still had a blast. It was nice seeing everyone, and in 4 days we all get to play so no harm done. Even though there was a huge amount of disorganization I still want to thank Microsoft/Bungie/The Hive and whoever else was involved with everything from the website to last night. It's been a trip, as I am sure I will say a few hundred more times.

Best chicago memories:

ILB audio story wouldnt play, all the ILB jokes as a result, including me yelling "!transmit truth!"

Watching the guy on the big screen try to run someone over in the ghost, and the other guy climbing on top and knocking him the f*** out of the vehicle.

"THANK YOU GOD!!!"

Someone shoving a pair of lanyards into my friends hand, and telling us to find angelo....but we were in line, about 10 people back from the theater door...and no angelo? Confusion. Glad he made it.

The sheer roar of applause when the guy read the stats for answering phones. We weren't applauding the stats. We were applauding each other, and that felt amazing.

The psychic link between all of the real, true beekeepers. You could feel it in the room, and you could tell who was a fanboy because they looked lost around us.

Hearing melissa's explanation with the payphone singing.

Getting called to play on the big screen, no matter how bad I sucked.

Again, I wanted to go to Denny's with you guys, but I had a lot of responsibilities pressing on me with school and family, and I had to settle for waving to you and talking to some of you on the street and going straight home. Thank you all for coming, and to those who drove more than 1 hour to get here, I hope the trip was good to you. It's been a pleasure to work with all of you.

BTW, what was the dead silence all about after the jersey clip was played? Was it because you guys were expecting more, or was it because you hadnt heard it yet and were taking in the gravity of the situation? For me, I hadnt heard anything about that days wavs, so I was just taking in the situation.

Just got home, and I'm exausted. We ended up driving home at 2 AM after Denny's, and we had to stop at a rest stop along the way to sleep for a couple hours so we could make it home. Staying late to hang out with you guys was well worth it though. We had a blast. Dane gave all of you two thumbs up and thought you were really cool people.

Special thanks to the Goddess Army, Angelo for coordinating for the puzzle yet again, and to ATDT for chatting with me all night. Very Happy

Ya,I'm sort of disappointed as well. It was awesome to see everyone, but I wisdh I had gotten to at least play. Especially considering I came all the way from Denver just to play Halo 2... Oh well, it was fun anyways. It was awesome to go to Denny's afterwards and just hang out with everyone. I am now suffering from lack of sleep, however. I got about an hour and a half of sleep last night, then I had to get up for my flight. But it was all worth it. It makes the waiting for Tuesday morning at 12:01 just that much easier (because I have so many things to think about concerning the game) and that much harder (because I want it SO much more). I would like to thank the PM's for making such an awesome game, and for everyone that participated. And a special thank you to the XBox rep who came to Denny's with us and discussed some of the finer points of the ARG, and even a little bit about Halo 2. I'm sorry, but I forgot his name Sad But thank you very much!

I didn't get to play Halo 2 and didn't even mind -- working on the puzzle as a shouting group was WAY more fun. eb and I had to motor back to Madison to our wives and kids, otherwise we would have come out to Denny's with you guys. But it was a lot of fun and well worth the trip, although I wish we would have met more of you all.

And, damn, we're a good-looking bunch! Very Happy

Hey, who got the Chicago beekeeper email list? Was it Spie? We should've put Live Gamertags on there too. I'd love to play Halo 2 with you guys next week. Anyone interested?
