Sweet... Lip gloss.

I'm already off tonight. I've got to get a longer cable for my dad's house... I had to disconnect the router and move it to a different room.

Alright, got pics in from Fullbore, so heres some belated chicago pics!

You guys are doing -something- back there

Waiting in line. Say want you want about me, I've got nice legs.

I've also got a huge soul patch. If you can see through it, you can see more crowd.

Fullbore(Paul) and I. We would be paired up together at the end of the night for the LIVE match...and we got severely pounded, but it was cool.
I like these pics, I'm willing to accept a more washed out picture to have the screen in the background.

This is what I call the Joliet Task Force or Joliet crew. On the left is Spektre, who was my Cell Phone/Tech wrangle and all around bitch, from Joliet to Lemont to Hinsdale. Next is me(total goon, hard to get pictures of me that look good). Next is FoxTrot, who simply rocks, and Snic, who put in lots of puzzle solving hours and story analysis at Denny's throughout the game. None of you really knew these guys, but they were down with ILB to the core, and I was glad they got to come to the training session.

Not to mention we look like total pimps under the HALO.

Ok, here's the link to the huragok website, if you can translate it I will be truly impressed! How man y languages do you know Phaedra? I only know English, and I still have a hard time with that most of the time.
Breaking apart lekgold into lek gold gets me a few websites, but I cant find any that tell what it means at all, maybe you can find one. Here is a link to the list. Several of the links don't work, so we may need to try another search engine, but I have to get to school now, so good luck!

Fluently? Probably not as many as everyone thinks. Smile

Well, take comfort in the fact that your native tongue is one of the hardest in the world.

It's Tagalog (Filipino), with which, unfortunately, I have no experience. And also, it won't let me look at most of the page. There's some sort of thing it says I have to download.

Actually I take that back, I do know parts of one other language... Elvish, from "The Lord of the Rings." I am a huge Tolkien fan, and have like 27 books at home by him, and most of them are about mythology and lingistics. I can translate pretty much any elvish word into the english equivalent. I don't know if that counts as a language, or just proves how much of a loser I am. Tolkien himself knew about 18 or 19 languages, including Latin, French, German, Greek, Middle English, Old English, Old Norse, Gothic, modern and medieval Welch, Finnish, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Swedish, Dannish, Norwegian, Dutch and Lombardic. He also created many many languages of his own. I guess that's why I admire you so much, Phaedra, you are a lot like my favorite author! Even if you aren't fluent in each language, I still think it's awesome that you even know some of each language.

I meant constrict. I have a friend with the same problem. I don't know what it is, but strangely, another symptom is a constant feeling of bliss.
I don't imagine you have that? Oh vengeful goddess Phaedra, Halo2 smackdowninantor, etc.

--john--

That's funny, I've also heard of someone with that problem and symptom, if you call it that, though I don't know her. Apparently the permanently dilated pupils were not a bad thing for an actress to have, though her parents thought she was on drugs for a while.

I often have the red-eye problem as well. I've got light green eyes and often find bright sunlight or even bright but cloudy days to be painful without sunglasses.

My camera has one of those red-eye reduction features where it flashes the flash several times before it actually takes the picture. This causes the pupils to constrict before the image is taken, so the red-eye effect is minimized.

At Denny's someone enjoyed the flashes so much that they requested a second picture cause it was "cool". Wink

You know, believe it or not, I have cultivated the ability to constrict and dilate my own pupils, via will power, or some untold muscle control.

Maybe you just need to train up a bit? Smile

Well, mae govannen then. Which Elvish? Sindarin or Quenya?

As someone, who, in the middle of a class, blurted out, "Pedich Sindarin?" to another student (thank G-d the professor was an LOTR fan!) I would have to assert firmly that it does not make you a loser. Created languages are fascinating. I've often thought it would be fun to study them and compare their features with real languages; it might tell us something interesting about how the brain handles languages.

Don't forget that he helped write the OED.

That thump was me passing out. I have never before been compared to Tolkien, and honestly do not deserve the comparison, although I am highly flattered.

I know a little of both Quenya, and Sindarin, but mostly Quenya. Not well enough to speak it, since I don't think he created enough words for it to be able to be spoken fluently, but I can translate most things. I actually convinced my family to name our dog Maia, but when we got another, they wouldn't let me name it Quendi. I wonder why not?

Hey, I've said for a long time that I love the grunts (so cute!), and killing them is just my way of demonstrating my affection. Twisted Evil

So, I'm sure angelo's affection for you is along the same lines.
