So, Dead man... you're more than welcome to help us with some axons in Berkeley tomorrow as a little detour on the way there.

The bigger the crew, the longer we'll last in the multiplaying at least.

I wonder whether they'll provide us with character profiles (since they already have our names in their databanks)?

I wanna try every means of dying:

"You were killed by _____"
"You were assassinated by _____"
"You were splattered by ______"
"You were beaten down by ______"
"You were betrayed by _____"

I wonder if there's one for exploding, cuz splattered is for vehicle roadkill.

Just fill in pita in all of those blanks. Seriously. I plan to sit back, relax, and watch you guys work your killing magic on the big screen. I don't want to compromise the chances of any team. I will practice 733t skillz of my own by not interfering. Wink

I just hope suiciding and betraying won't be too much a penalty. I mean, being killed by yourself or by your teammate is enough of an ouch.

Who cares!! So you spend 15 seconds waiting to respawn because you tripped over your own grenade. Oh well. All that matters is that a good time is had by all.

That and if, as I suspect, the sanfrancisco match is linked to some of the other matches via live (like say, new york) that the california crew is victorious.

16 people per game max
8 people per team (assuming you divide the teams equally)

or

4 x 4 man teams.

I'm SPECing that 4 man teams is very very likely. It makes it easy to develop group tactics with your friends and to play some multi-team games.

I'm also guessing SF teams of 8 battling other cities teams of 8. Like multiple fronts/battlefields.

Then again, they're used to the one person per Xbox per tv screen, instead of the usual four per Xbox with splitscreens.

I'm going to have to secont Dead Man on this one.

I apologize for not being able to attend the bulk of the axon activations and would like to add that I was there on the 24th of August in S.F.
For those who were there, I was the one who, when everyone was trading their Unfiction names, did not have have one

To Mazian, I apologize for misspelling your name and if my previous message seemed rude. It wasn't intended that way, and numbering the responses was just my way of grouping responses to specific people. Also, I'm not saying my bro's backstory isn't flawed but like you said it's fiction, so it's not really something to freak out about.

Honestly, I didn't come here to get flamed or to start arguments. Although I wasn't on the ground with you all I was supporting you from very near the beginning and I joined up on the forum at the last minute to congratulate all of the intrepid people who made this happen. (In hindsight that's probably the first thing I should have ever posted) and I've been a rather sad lately that this is all over, which is why I puhed forward my Incredibles movie night to thursday night. Heck if they have refillable popcorn I'll spring for a couple of 'em to share.

Thanks again all and sorry for any misunderstandings.

Omigod, LS, you're one of the thirty that attended the 2004.08.24 axons? Which guy were you? ^_^ So you were at the Powell one then with everyone else?

I didn't really use my name during that particular day. Just that I was the lone asian girl with her bf. I was in the huddle around SYFer (the biker), Addict, and DarkForge (whom answered that Powell phone for the confused beekeeper).

LS, no worries.

I probably met you that day on the 24th. I had been lurking on Unfiction since around the 20th (I'd visited once or twice over the previous weeks, but hadn't really figured out what the heck was going on until around the 20th)

I know that on the 24th I didn't have an unfiction ID, and meeting you all (including those who did and were asking to swap unfiction names) is exactly what prompted me to get on here.

Very Happy

I went to the Powell axon and one other earlier in the day.

Yeah!
I was the Filipino guy with the red and black Chevrolet jacket. I'd walk in and ask "is everyone else here waiting for a phone call?" I guess it was just me SYFer and DarkForge left at the very end just shooting the breeze. I conjectured that, since in biology Axons are the links from the brain to the organs, muscles, etc... the axons answerers would end up as "muscles" doing physical things the "brain" could not. (If anyone remembers that before I made a mad dash for a 38L bus.) Since then my Physiology class got really intense and I've been locked up reading lab Medical journals and taking wild stabs at writing lab reports Mad so axon chasing kind of went to the bottom of my list... Embarassed

So you were the guy that answer that payphone, then.

Wee Haw! I just found out that my boss isn't even going to be at work tomorrow, so there are no obstacles to my getting out early. I don't believe I'll have enough time to hit any axons, but I'll probably be putzing around in SF earlier than I planned.
