New here! Thought I'd add in my two cents from writing class on the Yasmine monologue. The paragraph structure doesn't matter--there's a million ways to put the paragraph breaks. But I'll give reasons for my other structure, at least. Added quotes because it makes it easier to read.

Quote:
/Fluorescent lights. Smell of formaldehyde. Still // feel the new implants, itchy little bumps along my spine. // Eggs waiting to hatch. Gross. Try not to think about it. // "Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to-" "Lab day, honey." "But can't I have a slice // of-" "Later. This will just take a few minutes."// Short walk through the // Labyrinth. Click-clack of bootsteps in the corridors./

/"Into lab 7." "Wait." Tongue depressors, swabsticks, // monitors. Wait. Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to—Footsteps in the hall. // Middle-aged, female; stride length and time suggest height approx. 1.7m. // Halsey./

/Door swings open. It's her. Coffee stains on labcoat. She gives me the queenly smile. Calls // me by name not number. Why not? She took my name away. // She owns it now, can use it if she likes. Tactical option reflex: unarmed; // swabstick through the eye; monitor wire
garrote. Linger there. // She tells me to get in the chair. I don't kill her./

/More footsteps. Door opens and nurse comes in, steel tray rattling with // needles and scalpels and little evil scissors with hooked blades. // She straps me down. // Halsey picks up a needle. Tests the plunger. Something yellow sprays out. Venom colored./

/"Don't worry," she says. The queenly smile. "This will hardly hurt a bit."/

*Reason for B-day all at top: trying to distract herself, and the "Wait" later on is so that she can take in her surroundings.
Right after "Tactical Military Option" it makes sense that she decides not to kill her as she sits down.
*Sitting down before nurse comes in because more "comfortable" to wait sitting down. No need to strap her in until the needle comes. Makes her more uncomfortable. And she knows that Yasmine can kill her if she gets nervous enough, so sitting down without strapping her in would be slightly calming.
*Made sure the "She straps" and "She tells" are not close to each other because of... well, just writing in general. Good writers never put similiar sentence openers one after another. =) So it makes sense that Yasmine would be smart enough to know that too.
*"Don't worry" after testing the needle because of relative pronouns. "This" is the needle, so Halsey would likely be testing the needle just/as she says this.
*Opening and ending because they work well.
*Lab Day before Lab 7 because why say lab day if she was already in the lab?

I'm opening to other suggestions. =) Just my two cents.

Translation: we need to help the Flea figure out the password that is encrypting "extern proc 0", which is not unlikely the Princess. It's not "Yasmine". Any other guesses?

Edit: contactme.html just got updated again. Append:

!transmit extern proc 0>>"Yasmine Zemat
fail msg: pwd unk

Princess friends > !help

pwd unk? Password unknown? What does that mean?

Flea

How is the flea getting the names/pwd to use... do we send an email and keep trying?

Midas: my guess is that someone is continually sending him instructions (hence the "princess friends > !help seeker"). Is anyone on the chat? I can't from work...

This is what I am sending.

What are the rest of you sending? More important, what was the format of the message that actually delivered a password in use on the contactme.html page?

it seems like the answer is in these lines, either only the Handsome Prince(seeker??) can find the password or the password has to do with the Handsome prince...

/ and though ancient prophecy foretold that only /
/ the kiss /
/of a handsome prince could wake/
/her, the Sleeping Princess was /
/gone. /

I've sent Kamal and several others, but none of them have showed up on the page, nor have I gotten another response from the Flea...
