Remember THIS urban legend? I wonder if this has any more relevence at this point in time?

 		An interesting theory, but unlikely I'm afraid. I remember Googling this story when it first appeared on the site, and Archie "Mad Dog" McCafferty was a real-life historical figure. He lived in Australia, whereas our killer has been located solely in the US and expresses no intention to leave. Also, he would have exceeded his target long ago.
