[SOLVED!!!] TheUnraveling.European family

From the solve of the conquerorworm (http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=92760#92760)
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
http://www.theunraveling.com/merovingian.html

All the enclosed words are anagrams. The center one is Diablo.

The texts in the gifs points to more Multiple Personality Disorder.
And lots of clues on how to deal with the shapes.

The text edited to represent what I think are clues:
Quote:
I can see clearly now...
And Yet...
I can feel that evil hex coursing through my mind..
Ach, Der teufel steckt im Detail...

Ah, to take the four hidden corners of ourmy mind,
to bend them, roll them, square them, cube them""
wait.
we do only have four coners in my our mind doesn't one?
yesyesconfident
we're sure we do
I do
the voices say so
voices with with six sides to everything...
turn them on end...

am I, are we insane?
no, see
see four with six as one,
one with four personalities, different

as different as night from day...
unique in fact
amazing, so clear!
if this is not insanity, i we then
and yet I us by the facets of my our mind
where can weIwe turn for support?
this is hidden from ImeusWe ever still!
help...

If you look closely at the puzzle (squinting helps) you can see that outside the inner inverted cross is another inverted cross, defined by slightly thicker lines.
The anagrams in the larger inverted cross are:
Code:
gtliyu   guilty
nlhuoy   unholy
kdewci   wicked
hrrdio   horrid
gniaml   malign
aliecm   malice

Judging from the text, I think this might involve folding the "inverted cross" area defined by the thicker lines into a cube... Confused

Ok, so going on the theory of folding the larger cross into a cube, here are the 6 sides along with which side is their opposite

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
1-hrcrdiogn-opp6

2-amcmleali-opp4

3-iolaliidn-opp5

4-kuodeywbf-opp2

5-gtlniylhu-opp3

6-snuopiosi-opp1

Then, you take those and..........I have no idea Wink

Why the extra S?

Why the color coded letters?

What's the red herring?

AGRRRR! (sorry, in-laws visiting and they just can't comprehend my fascination with weird websites).

I think we're supposed to use the letters in the corners of each face of the cube. I have:

I L
I N

S U
O I

G L
L U

H C
O N

K O
W F

A C
A I

If you look at the source, you can see that the choice of colors is no accident.

In hex, each one has a 44 and four 0's.

Green: #004400
Blue: #000044
Red: #440000

I think the fact that this was made as a table rather than as an image, but the text was made as an image, may be a clue.

SPEC: For some reason, this reminds me of stained glass. It's two crosses, so it makes sense.

the text in the top and bot(tom) gifs looked like it was layed out in a grid pattern, and for some reason the word "hex" made me think it was a dot matrix grid. This might look like something to someone (not me), but it's my attempt to put one X for each word:
Code:
xxxxx
x   x
xxxx
x   x
xxxx

xxxxxx

xxxxxxx

x     x
xxxxxxx
xxxxxxx
x     x

x     x

xxx

and
Code:
X     X
X     X

XXXXXX
XXXX
X     X

XXXXXX
X     X

XXXXXX
X     X
X     X
XXXXXXX

oh well, maybe it'll spark some lateral thinking.

Just some notes:

There are 204 colored squares total (not counting the white diable in the middle). There are 32 groups of 6 squares and 1 group of 12 squares (likely and patent groups near the top right). Is the one group of 12 squares an error and are there supposed to be 34 groups of 6 squares?

There are 44 maroon squares
There are 58 green squares
There are 41 blue squares
There are 61 black squares

Yup, and they've already fixed it!

Here are the words inside the cross, in the color they appear in. NOTE: If there were 2 of the same letter in a word with different backgrounds, I just randomly chose which one to use...

GUITLY
UNHOLY
WICKED
HORRID
MALIGN
MALICE
POISON
SINFUL

Wicked and Sinfull don't have any red, and Unholy doesn't have any blue... maybe a clue?

in my never-ending quest to offer possibly useless ways to look at info, i created another view of the inner cross as it might be folded into a cube and then unfolded again. It maintains the orientation of the faces, but unfolded NOT back to the original inner cross.
