There's only ~120 MB of sound files in .wav format. I seriously doubt you'd need a DVD, unless you wanted to seriously jack up the sound quality.

That's mp3 compressed audio, though, which won't play in a red book audio CD player. If you wanted a proper audio CD, which would play in a CD player, you'd need to decompress it, which would enlarge it to roughly 10x its size.

Of course, I'm just speculating, but I believe we'll be hearing from Herzog on Thursday. I think he was the first one we heard from the axons on recipe3, and now he'll be the last one we hear. See, it's a chiasmus.

well there's still a few questions... a lot of them are updated now, but there's still a few... I'll hopefully nab some of them tomorrow when I'm back at work with my high quality headphones... Smile

I think it's significant that the addresses for the 4th all seem to be theatres of some form... it sounds most obviously on the surface like it'll be multiplayer goodness of Halo 2, but why movie theatres? I can only imagine that this final 'transmission' may be visual?

I dunno, there's gotta be something visual, other than video game playing... they're commandeering 4 Lowes theatres for crying out loud... creepy... 4 days... *sigh*

They're probably going to project the hot multiplayer action on the the theatre screen. I think Nintendo did something similiar while they were promoting Donkey Konga.

I was walking past the Metreon (the San Francisco location) this weekend, and saw a Final Fantasy XI (Halloween-themed) party being held in a back area, complete with rows upon rows of computers and a huge projection screen displaying numerous people's views.
Odd, I thought... I don't think FF11 is a LAN game. Razz

At least for the Metreon, I'd say there's a definite possibility that there's going to be more to do than just watch a movie. In addition to the theater and said gaming space, it's a big mall, too.

They're all theaters? When I Googled the addresses, only two of them seemed to be theaters. The others matched a Jillians (in San Francisco) and a GameWorks (in Illinois), both of which would also be appropriate sites for a giant Halo party.

The Chicago location is in a group of shops which includes GameWorks and a Loews Theater. All of them are at the same address that's listed on the 404 page, they just have different suite numbers.
