It's been a pleasure serving.. [~meta]

Hey everyone

I just wanted to say a few things, since this ARG seems to be coming to an end. I'm sure I'll still be around the channels and boards a little; not sure if I'll have the time for another ARG, but I'll try to stick around.

I toyed around with The Beast a little bit, but never really got into the community or anything with it, so I didn't really get much into it. This was pretty much my first ARG then, and I was here from start to finish. Met a lot of really cool people along the way. You guys are awesome

I guess really, I just wanna say thanks to everyone. I know to a lot of people this may have just been a game, but to me (and I'm sure others) it was more. My life's been kind of a mess lately, with graduating from school, not being able to find a job I wanted, and not really having any of my friends or a gf around. (Not lookin fer pity, I'm just saying...) The one thing I really looked forward to was this arg, tho. Not so much the Arg, but the people and community around it. I really feel like we became a family through all of this, like even though we've never met and most of us never will, I really feel like I know you all. And that's really cool. It means a lot to me.

Ok, I don't want to make this too much longer, I just want to say thanks to everyone. You guys are all awesome... (btw sorry if a lot of this sounds corny heheh) So, in case I'm not around as much or anyone else isn't gonna be around, I'd like to still keep in touch. My email is SkycamefallingSPLATgmail.com and my AIM is kingsize88. Anyone reading this should feel free to write me anytime, for any reason, or no reason or jus to say hi =) Hope everyone can keep in touch after all this.

Anyone else who wants to, put your email or IM name in this thread so we can all kit.

So, it's been a pleasure serving with you all aboard the Apocalypso, beekeepers

-Lieutenant Siege, ONI Section 3

ps: See you all in 2552 (/begin shameless pimping: and hopefully in #kazoo or SPDRninjas: /end shameless pimping)

This was definitely an enjoyable experience. And it was the community that made it that way. If anyone ever wants to keep in touch with me for some odd reason, my e-mail is astald1(at)fastmail(dot)fm . Thanks for the memories.
Edit: Thanks for the heads-up thebruce.

AIM's electricidiom. If you want to tell me how much my attempt at Pink Floyd on an out-of-tune travel guitar sucked or something like that, go for it.

I did a thread on this, if you want their things, search for 'The end is near'. Anyway, you can find me on #homeworld for IRC as Starblade, and at the Relic Forums, also as Starblade.

The last few months have been really enjoyable for me because of this game, and I thank everyone for doing it with me.

Siege88, I feel the exact same way that you do. Its like your words were mine exactly, even about college, a gf, and your job. I have met a great group of people and when I saw every one band together for wephun, my eyes were opened and I realized that there are still people in the world that care.

just a recommendation, people - don't post your emails, especially linkable, in public forums... they attract spambots like bees to a flower... Razz

(precisely why I only have a feedback form on my website, and no link to my email on any page at all)

it's just a smart thing to do... FYI Wink

Or another way is to make a graphic of what looks to be your email link.

will still hang out on Unfuiction after this, watching Syzygy ramp up, and doing some other work. But this has been a LOT of fun....

It's been fun, everybody. While I wasn't able to contribute much (and, indeed, was lurking during the majority of the axon hunting), it was a true pleasure to take part in the discussions, and to watch this amazing story unfold. I'll be around, on both AIM and XBL, with the same screen name as I use here.
