Concerning the sound that is made when you put the keyboard pieces together:

It is a voice, 90% sure its male, saying something, sounds to me like "Hey, try this", and then the double click of a mouse.

The file I am linking to plays the sound as you hear it on the page, then it plays a a modified version of the file. I have shifted to pitch upward and played with the length a little in order to make what is said more clear.

Feel free to offer your suggestions as to what it is saying. I know it ends with an "iss" sound, though it may seem hard to hear that.

We've learned many times from past ARGs that people can pull lots of different words out of sound files. In this case, I can't hear anything.

I don't know what the voice says, but I think it says something along the lines of:
eight track
(or)
a trek
(or)
eight trek
(or)
a track

I don't know if any of those are right, but hopefully they'll help

There is a definite "sss" sound on the end of what he says, but you may have to listen deep to catch it, so he's speaking a plural or a "this" or something.

That crappy echo in there makes it hard to figure things out:P

I must admit my first impression of it was "Hey Triss" but that dont make any damn sense;)

I don't know...to me it sounds as simple as "Nice Work"..I've listened to it over and over and this is all I hear.

Flash Messing up?

When I run the mouse cursor over the now transparent outlines of the where the keys had layed over the (matrices maybe?) the mouse cursor changes to a new icon that is used normally over a clickable button.

Not sure if this is a clue or if it just my Flash being glitchy?

For some reason i highly doubt that the sound has anything to do with the puzzle itself...

because if you type in the right stuff for side 1 (see the thread) you hear the same noise...

you beat me to it GKABBY56, I was just going to comment that I thought it was saying "Good work", same as for the red face.

other observations: did anyone else notice that the 9 key starts out of order compared to the rest of the keys?

also, although it didn't amount to anything for the red face, is it possible that the background picture is a clue. When I first saw it I though of water music from Handel.

another

Ok, well, whatever we figure out from the numbers... reverse it.

I've cleaned up that sound file and am hearing "Breach(ed) Birth).

(Though I first heard "Reach Earth"--- damn bees.)

I just reversed the sound file you gave me, and I hear some interesting things...it almost sounds like, "Hell's here"

I'm new to these forums, but I've been looking at this puzzle for a bit. While in the process of getting the right order, I took down all the numbers and traced the outlines of the keys when I got them in the right order. I also separated them into white or black keys. After I completed it, I globally replaced "999" with "===" to make it easier to visualise. I've attached the result so far to this post.

You can see that in the top block there's definitely some sort of visual pattern, because in all but two cases, the 999s are adjacent, not random. You can also see that there are a lot more 999s in the black keys than there are in the white keys, even though the white keys cover more area. Every key has a 999 in it except for 1, 9 and 2; at first I thought this might be related to the key number being in gray but while the 9 and 2 are in gray, the 1 is in black.

Hope this helps somebody. Smile

[edit: Additional thoughts - the gray keys, 9 and 2, correspond to E and B, which don't have sharps on the keyboard - E# and B# would be F and C, respectively. All the other white notes have sharps as separate keys. Is this useful to anybody, or a red herring?]

[edit 2: Updated the attachment - there were a couple of layout errors which are fixed. Nothing too important.]

But there is E# and B#. E#=F and B#=C.

Read my post again. I never said there weren't any sharps for them. I just said there weren't any specific, separate sharps on the keyboard. I did mention the existence of F and C as sharps in my post. Wink

The sums of the areas under the keys are (from left to right):
4218 5307 1297 3183 1915 2958 3268 2673 4045 2757 6242 3399

Those certainly seem large enough to be plugged into face 4.

Also, the staff does show GAGA, but the staff extends beyond the keys in the puzzle. The other GA keys would be to the left, see Here at the bottom for the layout.

I'm going to try seeing if there's any relationships between those numbers.

[SPEC] on the nature of the numbers

The 999 entries could be spacers as Ciaran_H hypothesised, or they could be missing entries. If they are missing entries, and we deduce them, it may help with the Yellow Face.

In either case, the first two digits of the remaining numbers seem to range from 00 to 25, which makes me think of the alphabet. I've played around with ROTing each entry by the third digit, but I haven't found success yet.
