[META] Jon Stewart gives us a shout-out...

Well, not us as in beekeepers, but us as in Halo fans.

(In their words) Rob Cordry was "exit-polling" the Covenant.

i wasn't watching (me and my roomate were playing halo because we've both had a longing for some halo action and we were getting sick of the presidential coverage - no one was saying anything productive)... what did they say?

What has this to do with Jon Stewart's Halo reference?

Jon tried to get Rob Cordry's attention, but Rob was playing Halo on the big screen that was supposed to be showing the electoral college map. Jon said, "Are you...playing Halo?"

Rob replied, "No, I'm just...uh...exit polling some Covenant aliens."

I am so in love. (With Jon, not Rob.)

Since I am up early (it is now 4:50 am) just to check the election results again, I decided to look around in unfiction. I, too, saw Jon Stewart last night and at that moment, I blurted out (I was at a party) to no one in particular, "Halo! He's playing Halo!"
Since I was the only one actually watching the tv at that moment, by the time anyone else looked at it, Halo was gone. Of course, nobody there knew what Halo was anyway, so I was just shouting into the ether.

I saw that last night and started loosing it. My fiance, who is already tired of HALO and ILB, did not find it as amusing.

Does anyone think we can get Cordy or someone to come down to the theatre in New York for thursday night?

And as he was pluggin' away at the Covies he was yelling "Suck it!" One of my favorite catch phrases while playing that game. Smile I was floored.
