Maybe I'm WAY freakin off on this, but a CD can hold like... 500 MBs of storage?

So, if you burn the wavs at the right compression, accepting that the audio quality has to be sufficient to be clear, but not so great that it has to be like friggen crystal.. there's MORE than enough room for the entirtey of Ilovebees in .wav format as data files on a CD. Track listings and what not can't be that much more hassle to add, can they?

I mean, it could be that I'm just not understanding the science of audio CDs at all. Somebody clear this up for me?

Also, if you're going to pay voice actors, and buy studio time and record extensive dialog with special effects and foley artists, I would think you'd want a higher quality distribution than MP3 on CD.

That said, I'm still holding out hope for CGI, though my imagined characters will most likely be different. If it was along the lines of "Final Flight of the Osiris", that would make my year.

To any crewmembers who are going to the Live Training Excercise on the 4th and who won't need to try to get the DVD elsewhere...could you possibly allow me to use your crewname/info to get one of the DVD's? I can't make it to any of the DVD locations or the training excercise. Please PM if you can help me out. Thanks.

I don't think that you need to do this. On Nov 4 when they give out the DVD "logs" at the "27 locations" around the US, they only ask for the passphrase, not an ID. (According to the various other posts on unfiction about the topic.) If you can't make it to either the "cache" or the "training exercise" then you just send in your address after Nov 4 (it appears to me).

No special ID required. Heck, some of the people going to the training exercises have given "fake" crew names and never participated in the ARG but have been accepted for the Nov 4 gig.

Just send in an email with your address and say "PLEASE!" Smile

Hi, sorry if this is out of place of where the thread is now, but I have to ask. If we want to be accepted for this (I'm trying to go to the PA event) do we just send in our crewmember name? Or is there something else that they need to know such as age, or address, to be accepted for the event? I know about what we should do AFTER Thursday already, if we cannot make it, but I want to know what the procedure is for BEFORE Thursday. Thanks a lot.

I'm with you, Nitro. That would be awesome and Halo 2 would be the best game ever in my mind if they did that (I mean as far as the enhancement of the story goes...)

Yeah, unfortunately, 4+ hours is a lot of CGI to render even if you're using the game engine, so it's probably just audio.

Wow, I got confused... sorry about that. You can get the DVD at one of the 27 locations. I thought they were extra training area things. Oh well, no biggy. I'll try my best to get to my location.
