The Missing Books

Here is an email I recieved from Ms. Anderson at the Ardmur. Note the 3rd paragraph, those strange words might have to do with the ardmur cipher. Also some of the books in the 2nd paragraph are heavily related to the occult.

Dear Sir,

It has been difficult to compile an accurate listing of what was sold,
obviously the criminals involved weren't any more concerned with accurate
records than they were concerned with stripping this organization of it's
treasured volumes. However, these 13 are the books I know are still being
searched for by that very thoughtful private detective Mr. Gray. Some of the
more common volumes have specific distinguishing identifications that I am
unable to divulge without specific credentials.

Tom Sawyer-Mark Twain (1st edition)
Faust-Johan Wolfgang Goethe (2nd edition)
The Occult Sciences in Atlantis-Lewis Spence (1st edition)
Satan's Bride: An Anthology of The Dark Prince's Mistress (Italian
untranslated)-Pascali Caramio
Zanoni-Edward George Bulwer-Lytton (1st edition)
A collection of short stories by Edward George Bulwer-Lytton
The Race to Discover Neptune-JC Adams
Honoring Darkness In The Time of Dawn-Arthur Edgars
Plutarch's Morals-Moralia Plutarch (2nd edition)

And there are four volumes entitle simply: ICOCASB, CORMFA, LUCIFTIAN, and
LONSHIN. From our records they don't appear to be in english, and several
people have mentioned a language called Enochian, which they seem to think
these books might be written in. We do not have further information in that
direction I'm afraid.

I would suggets contacting Andrew Gray (http://www.grayinvestigation.com)
for any leads he may already have. I wish you luck in your search, we are
eager to see our precious books returned.

Ardmur Historical Society Secretary

LUCIFTIAN = brightness
LONSHIN = (their) power
CORMFA = numbers

ICOCASB was not found.

There is a Enochian dictionary available here

"their power is bright for all ages"

could have something to do with ocult practices or "witchcraft"

Between the nature of most of the books on that list and the Enochian text, I'd say we're almost definitely dealing with some sort of Satanic secret society operating behind the scenes of Armdur. Probably connected to the dead animals found on the doorsteps. Maybe surfacng to oppose the Church of God?

Bright power

It could even be a faction of the Illuminati. They were known for using Enochian for ciphers.

That would be interesting. Illuminati probably wouldn't be doing animal sacrifice type stuff, but the "their power is bright for all ages" certainly fits.

I don't think that this has to do with a Satanic Cult. I think it has to do with the church itself. Enochian, AKA, Angel Language, probably wouldn't be used in a Satanic Cult. Is it possible that there is another langauge that is Satanic? I'll search it, but I doubt it exists. If it is true that the TVCOG is really one of those Fire&Brimstone type things, Enochian might be their cryptic language of choice...

In addition to what Mantis said, private societies like the Freemasons (who are often tied to the Illuminati) tend to have ties to Christianity, most importantly outdated occult Christian practices which are holdovers from Jewish Kabbalah and other Semitic religions. Some say the Freemasons are the modern day ancestors of the Knights Templar, an ancient Catholic brotherhood, who was later cast out of the Church. Satan rarely comes up, even in the most outlandish conspiracy theories. However that being said, many staunch Christians (like the TVCOG) view secret brotherhoods like the Masons as blasphemers and accuse them of worshipping a different god from the Christian god.

Why not? wasn't Satan a fallen angel. wouldn't he then speak the same language?

right, I know, but as Gaijin said, it's rarely that Satanic Cults pop up. I'm just saying that things seem to fit with a F&B Church, Ancient Angel Language, and a nutty pastor. Of course, I could be completely wrong... Embarassed Laughing

I'm leaning towards something satanic, especially when you think of the ritual animal slaughters taking place in the town. That souns occultish to me.

right, but if you translate the enochian, it says: "their power is bright" in one part. If you viewed this as some message from the church, they could possibly be talking about themselves or the angels. If it was occult, why would they be praising them?

I hardly see that as praise. It could simply be acknowledging the enemy's power. Just because you say it's bright, doesn't mean you say its right lol.
