I am hoping the same thing. I sent mine about 10 or 15 minutes ago.

Gak! I feel like such a moron. I've sent two emails to her so far. One was Tuesday evening, which was before the update on her blog where she changed the date to Thursday. And I sent one right after the last of the wav files were done. Embarassed Embarassed

I hope hope hope that she will forgive my impatience and stupidity.

Actually, you shouldn't try to learn it -- if you learn it you'll be consciously thinking about it when you're supposed to not be consciously thinking about it, and that's no good. Smile

That, by the way, is still one of my favorite H2G2 scenes of all time.

I was wondering, is there a program where I can rip the .iso of the DVD? Not to pirate it to others, but to back it up for my own purposes.

I don't have a dvd player, since I use my PC to watch dvd's (HTPC), so I always rip my discs to my hard drive, using dvd shrink, a free program. There's 2.42gb of data total on this disc after ripping with dvd shrink.

Hmm... I have the DVD, and me and my friend who picked it up were examining the CD itself (the Great Lakes location). You know how when you put data on a CD, if you look at it you can see where the data physically is? Well, on the ILB DVDs, the thing is kind of... Wavy? I dunno. My brother thinks it's either some extra burning technology or really bad CD pressing. Also, on the CD that my friend hot, there was like lettering on the other side. We couldn't make it out, but it looked like ~00N 2004 backwards. We don't have any camera, but has anyone else seen this? My DVD runs fine, btw.

If it was really close to the center of the disk, then it's probably just a serial number or something...

For those that want to copy and send the dvd to other people, read the letters on the CD. There's copyright words on it.

I'm not sure why, but it's also written "Pre-release Software" ...

No no, nothing like that. It looked really out of place, it on the cd itself where the data and whatnot is normally. Not the one right around the center.

I took the train from Worcester to Boston (which required a 20 minute bike through freezing rain -- not fun), and arrived in Boston at exactly 9pm (train was supposed to arrive at 10 to 9). I took the red line over to Park street, rode my bike (again through the rain) the two blocks to the theater, and arrived at 9:10, When I got there, I went up to guest services to deliver the message, and got the strangest look. I explained about "I love bees", but the guy instisted I meant "I heart Huckabees". I showed him a printout of the blog page, and he finally went to get the manager. The manager finally came out and told me I needed to go to the ticket window. I ran down the three flights of stairs, got in line, and said the line to the sales lady, who immediatly handed me the DVD . Cool. After another train ride and freezing rain bike ride, I finally made it home.

One thing I should point out is the text on the bottom of the DVD:
Quote:
Microsoft Confidential. Copyright, 2001 Microsoft Corporation Unpublished Work. Pre-Release Software. All Rights Reserved. Not for Resale or Trade

It's interesting that it's copyright 2001. Were the recordings originally done for Halo 1?

The back of the DVD says "OPTDISC SOLUTIONS 385/63"
