Here's a paraphrasing:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The covie trojan virus's mission was to find the artifact, and reveal its location to the Covanent. Seek, behold, reveal. It suceeded.

The music is only coming out of the left channel. Slide your balance all the way to the right and you can hear Durga much more clearly.

Yippee we're screwed!

I notice how these .wavs tell how the Master Chief is getting his armored butt over here.

Wow... what an amazing conclusion.

gg. We've been owned. All of us. Jersey, Kamal, Jan and Rani in 2552, and every one of thousands of Beekeepers in 2004. The Covenant kicked our ass, big time.

Hmm... and it seems the "Herzog-McKaskill" clips were completely fabricated by our good friend the Flea. The only truth that was sought, beheld, and revealed was the location of Earth. Perhaps McKaskill's original tampering with the artifact was direct by Melissa when she was already influenced by the Flea.

Yeah, that was awesome. Standing O for the PM's.

Is there any doubt that we will run into the 1.1's in Halo 2?

we crew in 2004 haven't yet had a chance to step up to the plate... some will tonight, some will in a matter of days... but come what may, we will not step down without a fight, God help us, we will not back down!

This SPARTAN certainly won't. I managed to finally get past the second Act of Halo (When you first crash land and must rescue the marines) last night, on Legendary and I only lost the first batch of marines. I saved every other Marine.

I haven't been able to do that for ... well, at least 2 years... It's just really hard.

I look forward to Combat Training tonight. Twisted Evil

To capture the concept of Legendary in Halo, imagine every grunt is a SPARTAN I, and a gold Elite is like a SPARTAN... VIII. Cause that's about how hard that game is.

I think it's more like this:

McKaskill triggered it the first time. The Covenant are alerted, but deep in their own space; they get there and find nothing. The humans recognize it as a huge EMP. What it REALLY has done is set off a huge remote signal that arms the Halo installations all across the galaxy.

The Flea is aware of what they've found, and begins trying to reveal its location to the Covenant--but it has to find it first. Not only that, it needs to DEACTIVATE it, because if it counts down all the way, it remote-triggers the Halo installations, and then everyone si teh dead, human and Covenant and miscellaneous alike.

So going through all this, Herzog is killed before they learn the sequence used to activate the artifact. Flea mimics Herzog enough to get McKaskill to divulge the trigger sequence, 'reveal the truth', and possibly 'save humanity'.

Team Jersey nearly (!) screws up the deactivation, but thanks to Rani's deductions, they merely shut off the countdown. This, however, requires another remote signal to be pulsed. The Halo installations have been shut down, but now the Covenant have a new location to check out.

Ironically, the Flea *did* save everyone, while fulfilling its parameters.

Hah, what's that level called just after Cortana tells you Guilty Spark is a wanker and wants to kill you all? I was playing that on Legendary Co-op.... we owned, after the 50th attempt. Very Happy

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Back on topic, I'm sorta sad that the Covenant arrived so early. I would have liked to see Jan and Jersey get together perhaps, or at least to know that Jersey survives... I'm sure with Durga to help him, he'll be fine. Very Happy
