Newb needs help This is the first ARG I'm trying to be active in but as a newb it seems that everyone goes so fast I'm stuck standing still. I've looked at several primers and tutorials and they've helped a bit but I still feel like I'm lagging behind. I wanted to check on my progress and get tips on how to go faster. Everything I know I've put into the spoiler box (in case there are other Newbs who don't want things spoiled).
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I read the memo from Sente and gave my E-mail address. I followed the link on that page and the link on that page. As far as I can tell Perplex City lost some kind of important cube and Sente wants it back. S. Marchant (S=Sente?) also wants it, bad. Somethings going on in London (4th picture on the first link says London on it) and Sente's memo comes from "one tavern square, The Old Town" (2nd picture on the first link). I don't know if its import but Sente is a term in the game of go that means "to take the initiative." Just thought that was an odd coincidance.
Please tell me how I'm doing progress wise, and sorry to be a nuisance.

Drum Major, we are all on the same page, and you are NOt a bother. Take a look into the various threads in this forum set on this game. Basically, the game has yet to really go live, as it were. Everything discussed was from the bread crumbs on their website.
The main thing, did you submit your email address to the perplexcity.com box at the bottom of its page? That lets the game masters know you are in. They send back an email with wierd clues in it.
Am in full agreement about band being a mind altering drug. It so very was (2nd trumpet here, or was

if you've not found the cache files already, print out S. Marchant's quote and follow the obvious lead

Hmmm....
I registered my email address at the www.perplexcity.com page, but have had no reply.
Any one else, or is it just me?

I know people reported that they had had responses from the original project syzygy site - but has anyone actually received a response from www.perplexcity.com yet?

ditto... that makes me feel a bit better.
Also, tanner, that name could get confusing...

I haven't recieved a response from either. Maybe only the people who mailed the Project Syzygy site very early got them, 'Your early interest will be rewarded'.

I also emailed the old site... but no reply yet. Just waiting. I am sooo hooked. I actually get excited to check my email to see if anything is there.

reecee, when did you e-mail the old site? Also, which address(es)? The reason I'm asking is because I did myself a few days ago (when PS got "completed") to see if their autoresponses changed. The autoreplies from both addresses came within a few minutes; so if it's been some number of hours since you e-mailed them, I think it'd be safe to assume they took them away.
I keep looking for anything that would indicate that we don't have to wait until "early 2005", and, of course, I realize that this wouldn't really be it , but still...
