Sorry guys, minor major problem cropped up so that I can't join in the tank mating rituals and blue-spider dodgeball for a while... my TV died. Crying or Very sad

I was playing with my clan (for the first time, EVER!) tonight at 8pm and then the picture tube started to fade, and fade, and fade... I turned off the TV and the VCR, "recycling" both several times, but for every time the picture returned it soon faded back down to blankness.

Too much Halo 2, I guess. Though it was getting rather elderly. (For those "in the know", it was bought at Beaver Lumber at their liquidation sale. That should give an *exact* date for folks in Ontario.)

-- Steve's now scraping together the pennies for a new TV... the schedule was to get one next profit-share, dammit, and that's in late February. *sigh*

While I'm sure nobody missed me too terribly much, but the Turkey Day weekend left me in a long lurch of offline activity. I barely got to play anything, and that was with a friend in physical vicinity, and his attention span didn't keep us on Halo2 long enough to get on Live.

All in all, I got kicked out of another online clan I was in (for Jedi Academy on PC), my poor City of Heroes characters lay untouched for four or more days, and I haven't gotten to say "Snuck!" with a sword-jab to anyone (except the aforementioned friend) in over five nights! I miss the fun, so I'll definitely be back on with a vengance tomorrow. (I left my freaking Xbox at my cousins' house, so I have to drive over there tomorrow to retrieve it.)

It was wrong. Just wrong.

although it gives a whole new meaning to the term "tank humping"

I was impressed with the guys standing on the tanks while they were ... er... playing, and they would not die! Not even spartans would survive that ...

INCyr, I think you were the one that smashed a warthog and a phantom with a scorpion up the hill and killed everybody! Awesome! Cool

Yes, that was me. I was also the one that managed to do a 720+ in a warthog. And that wasn't spinning horizontally. I saw the ground at least 3-4 times during that spin. I know krystyn saw it, as well. Wink

The funny thing about that scorpion going up the hill is that I was behind you, trying to jack the tank, when I realized that everything that goes up the hill, comes back down!! So you splattered me without even noticing! Laughing

Ah I remember doing that the last time I was able to play with everyone Smile there's just something beautiful about metric tonnes of machine and heavy metal plating spinning wildly through the air in one piece...

I joined late with Officer Pupp. It took a while before we caught on as to what the objective was - everybody just driving around in vehicles, but nobody killing each other. I drove the tank around for a while, and three people jumped on and didn't do anything, except bash at the tank with their fists. I got out and saw Clayfoot just holding onto the tank. I turned to Pupp. I turned back to Clayfoot. Pupp. Clayfoot. Back to Pupp. Back to Clayfoot. Nothing. So I assassinated Pupp with my energy sword. Ah, finally - satisfaction for my bloodlust. (Sorry, Will.)

Then I got back into the tank, later, and got humped by the other one. Ick.

Wait 'til I install the hydraulics, buddy! Then you'll see some REAL humpin'!!!

Ah. I see behind me the line I just crossed.

Anyway, I then proceeded to scrape myself off the map like 20 times as Buzzkill ran over me repeatedly. I did manage to dodge a couple times...OLE!!!

I noticed that, too. Apparently, if you are just standing on a tank, you cannot be easily killed --even if said tank is run over by another tank. Also, it takes a very, very long time to stop a tank using an energy sword.

I only got to chime in for a short while, but it was jaw droppingly amazing to see the rocket lunge. I can't wait to see this fabled trick video. The video game tricks, not the Eddy Murphy/R. Kelly tricks.

water10 I did not recieve your invite last night. Could you resend it please.

hehe. Watching you bash my tank with that sword was hilarious!! The sound that makes had nothing to do with an energy sword hitting a tank! Laughing

Actually, when I saw you playing with everybody I was going to join and then add you using the recent players, so I didn't have to type your gamertag. Yeah, I'm a lazy bastard! But when I joined the game, I think you were gone already! I'll invite tonight for sure.

I definitely got a kick out of rocket lunging after Banshees just so that I could jack them. I only did it maybe three times over the course of the whole night, but at one point I did it and sent CirrusStrafe into the abyss of Ascension. lol, he was after me for the rest of the night...
