Let me know if you (or anyone else) gets this set up. I have a ton of material for StepMania downloaded off of BitTorrent already. Of course, as with any good open source project, you can always add your own music and dance steps

Sounds good. Do you know anything about setting custom resolutions for this game in particular? Depending on the game it's a pain to get a game to work properly on hdtv's.
No, I don't; but it won't matter. You'll see when you get it running. There's not much going on that's critical to game play.

But if a game goes full screen and sets a refresh rate that my tv does not support, the tv won't sync and I'll not see anything on my screen, plus there's the risk of damaging the tv.

If it runs windowed, then I think I can make it work!

Do we already have a standing appointment to play on XBL together? Some time range when we could hope to maximize the crowd size? I know: the right coast has to stay up bleary-eyed while the left coast rushes home to jump in before it's too late.

After this latest scientific research that proves lack of sleep makes you fat, I'm going to adjust my schedule to get enough sleep. However, I dearly want to hear all of your voices regularly. When might I be able to do that?

Wait... Maybe we could setup a Condorcet poll! Razz

I'm pretty sure StepMania lets you run either way (windowed or full screen). It's very well behaved. I'm pretty sure one of the options is "keep the same screen resolution."

Clayfoot, because of you, I'm feeling mildly retarded and chubby! You're not helping, you know! Wink Maybe stepmania could help on the second ...

i had played DDR on the PS1 and PS2 and arcade for a while. When my brother caught up to my age a bit and took the playstations to college with him, I bought the xbox DDR and an adapter to use my playstation dance pad on the box.

Unfortunately, the adapter introduces a fraction of a second delay between when you step on the pad and when it registers. So the game is unplayable Sad Don't really have the money to buy an xbox pad in addition to the PS ones unfortunately. So I guess I have to trade the game in somewhere.

I'd been looking forward to playing on Live too!

Hrm, that's unfortunate. I have DDR for the PS2, and 2 pads for it, and was hoping that I could get an adaptor and use them on my XBox... I don't really feel like owning 3+ pads.

And it'd be fun to play some of you on XBL on DDR. Of course, by play, I mean get my a** handed to me.

I think the problem with Blade 2 is that is was sponsored by the then WWF. And since it was sponsored by them they had to include those horrible WWF moves. That ruined the two big end fights for me. You want a really cool fight and instead you get WWF. That'll ruin even a great action movie.
The other smaller problem was all of the CG fights. Blade goes from the solid block of ass-kicking Wesley Snipes to a cat like CG Blade. Just ain't right.

I'm holding higher hopes for Blade 3. I get to see a preview tonight! Razz

I doubt lack of sleep will make you fat if you are using the time to play DDR :p

Another fun time, ther others teams in matchmaking still find new ways to make us laugh at them at their lameness at the end of the match. I really want to apologize to everyone for my being pretty much craptacular tonight. I guess a fever, clogged head, and sore throat will do that to you. I'm ESPECIALLY sorry for falling into the water with the flag...I really feel like such an a-hole because I did that. Man, I need to go get well. But thanks for the smiles.

Hey Dasro, no worries man, we won anyway! Smile

I'm currently debating which is more fun: the games themselves or the attempted insults from the other team afterwards Laughing

Ooooohhhhh... that's a tough call. I think the attempted insults are more icing on the cake than anything else. Although I don't think anything will ever beat "You sound like a girl." I still can't get over that.
