The greatest thing last night, we were in matchmakeing and one of our matched "teammates" started talking and literaly every other word out of his mouth was the "F word" after a moment of this, and we bees thinking oh boy this is going to be fun.... Krystyn started yelling out "Puppies! Kittens! Rainbows!" and later "Lowwepops!" the guy was rendered speachless....for a little bit at least... I think later he called us "bee kings" and "waspanators" based on our icons, which i thought was funny Wink

waspanators... hehehe Wink

Ah, but the great mystery is what is that magical level? In one game Sunday night I played with a level 13. He/She was really good and deserving of the ranking but after every kill you heard "Not in my game a__hole".
Despite this annoyance I gained a whole new appreciation for just how deadly a rocket launcher in the hands of a skilled player can be.

you need skill to use the rocket?!

Apparently, since I suck total ass with the rocket. I try to aim at the feet and catch em with splash damage, but I almost never kill em.

What's that, someone needs a How-To video on rocket launching?

*Brandishes his Marathon 2-style SPNK-R*

Ahem.

(There will be absolutely NONE of my usual modesty when it comes to using rocket launchers. I will knock you out of the sky, off your warthog, splatter you against the wall, and nail you on a straight run from four hundred yards. And I might kill myself once or twice. -_-; )

Great fun yesterday! I was surprised that red team won that zanzibar match! Thunderclap saved the day with rockets and his killtacular! Angelo, as usual, had double the kills of almost everybody else ... Very very close match!

Bad thing is that stats didn't save for that Headlong ctf match! It started as a 8x8 and after countless team changes, it ended as a 4x3 match! Smile

Dasro, I had 22 plasma stickies on that midship skirmish! Almost positive it'll be the most I'll ever have in a game! Mr. Green

Dude, I noticed your 22 stickies. You were a maniac with those grenades! Those guys were actually pretty cool after the match, too. We probably would have won if it weren't for our random no. 4 disappearing right when the match started.

*ahem* I'm not sure whether this confirms that you do or don't need skill with the rocket launcher, but I earned my first win in Rumble Pit last night in a rockets-only game on Foundation. I confess that part of the "skill" is knowing that people are constantly spawning in the side rooms, and so I fire into each one as I pass.

That game was 1 in a million! Almost every grenade I would throw would stick on some part of their armor! And those guys were VERY cool! At one point in the game, I would stick a grenade and they would just walk towards me saying "hi!" Laughing That would account for my suicides on that match ... But yeah, if we had Thunderclap, INCyr, Clayfoot or Eclipse, we would've won that match!

I really think Bungie should start tracking how many times a guy quit a game and start penalizing this! I don't mind losing matches, but I hate losing winnable matches because people quit during the game!

hehe I think that rocket killtacular was my single greatest Halo 2 moment yet!

Check it out here, zoom in on the icons near the big wheel. I was standing right near where you get the rockets. 4 rockets = stopped flag, 4 kills and one dead warthog. Sorry krystyn! Very Happy

I now end my rarely occuring session of patting myself on the back.

Joining evade 3 has been a wonderful decision.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm sure glad that last game I was in last night was CTF... or I would've been severely impaired.

Shots Hit - 99
Shots Fired - 1133
Hit % - 8

Embarassed

At least I got the flag up and over the wall and back to home!

And am I the only one who noticed the random Kristen/Mel/Durga/SP appearance and didn't get all star-struck about it? (Give or take krystyn, who seemed even more unenthusiastic about it than I...) I thought it was hilarious how some people after she left were like "Was that who I think it was?"

that one rockets match we had on Colossus, angelo getting 96% accuracy... grrr
75 shots fired, 72 shots hit (granted, including splash damage), but still... that's sooooo annoying. I only had 93% accuracy Smile

Doh, she was on and I missed her?

GAH! Stupid East Coast time.

If anyone is willing to give me her gamertag, it'd be appriciated!

We've played with Kristen a few times now, so when she does pop in it's more of a pleasant surprise than a celebrity sighting. Then again, I could just be screwed up in the head right now.

Speaking of Kristen, which one of you had to talk her into sending me this? lmao, I'm looking at you, Krystyn...

Likewise. In a PM or email, maybe?
