Hell yeah! Take me as an example! I lived here from Nov/99 to July/2000. Went back to Brazil to live in a totally different area (Bahia) from my hometown and I just couldn't wait to come back to Michigan! I got another job here in Feb/2001 and I'm here since.

Glad you liked sendex! People should not go through their lives without trying pao de queijo! Cool

I don't think anyone hates you...
In related news, I was having serious Xbox live problems, and didn't get any messages that were sent to me until I got booted from live and logged back in, then I got a deluge. And my buddy list was all sorts of screwed up most of the night. Was anyone else having problems?

Yeah, my friend's list was showing a lot of guys online, when they were not. I still have Thinn Kinkle's friend request there even though I already accepted!! Everytime I log in, the request comes up again! Mad

And party invite only is good! If you don't use it, people can join your party from the recent player list. So, random people you played with/against on matchmaking can join your party. We had it happening and believe me, it's not pretty!

Yep, a wonderful, fun, match of mature, respectful beekeepers was very rudely interrupted Sat by a bunch of loud (and foul) mouthed kids. Must be very careful who gets invited to your party.

yeah I noticed that my friends list activity rarely stays updated, at least in the online/offline aspect... messages come and go, but it's like nothing changes from the first time logging into to xbox live for who's online and not. Even logging back out and in typically shows the same listing for some reason... <shrug> I just hate it when you get invited but you can't join, and you lose the invite... Razz

I have a confession to make.

I am Thinn Kinkle Surprised

I used my 2 month free trial to make the account. I was going to give people the opportunity to kill Kinkle. The idea was quickly displaced and shot down in this thread.

I used to play Asheron's Call and in that MMORPG you have six character slots. I had four of them filled and would play each character regularly, roleplaying each one. I haven't played it in about 3 months, and I feel like my roleplay ability needs some refreshing.

I'm confessing this because, as it was stated in the linked thread, Thin is dead(and he only has one N in his name anyway, despite my efforts to regain control) Laughing

OMG! Laughing Well, can I delete you from my friend's list? Or you're still planning to let us kill you again and again?

INCyr, I know I sounded cranky, but honestly, you weren't the game host the whole night, so it wasn't all your fault. Wink

I -was- totally asking to check messages, though. Repeatedly. Lots of times. Over and over again. And I still got ignored. It's OK, I just felt really bad when I got all these messages from people thinking I was snubbing them, is all.

To those of you that think I hate you, you might also try messaging other people in my party at the time - they don't bite, I swear! Otherwise, if you're depending on me, you might be disappointed. I get lots of messages.

You can delete Thinn if you want. I play the account every so often, but it will expire soon.

I know. But I feel bad when I have any part of a situation like that, because I try and make sure that type of thing doesn't happen. I do wish there was some way to deal with the talking on the party screen... it can get awfully noisy.

Yeah... see, I never heard that once. Again, see above re: doing somethign about the chatter on the party screen. The other thing I wish they'd fix is making it so you can't hear anyone when you're on the message screen. Half the time I try and get my messages, and I can't hear them for the talking in the background. That's probably my #1 issue with live at the moment. Well, except for all the screw ups that I seem to encounter.

We don't bite... hard. Or unless asked. Well, maybe occasionally we do, but we'll never draw blood.

Hrm, I suppose that's not the impression I want to make, is it.

We never bite! Ever! Even when asked! Really! So message us! We'd love to invite you.

If you still play it, I'll keep it then! But it'll feel strange to have Think Kinkle in my team ... Smile

Krystyn, I was leader for the my last few games and I don't know if I was too fast to start the game or not. If so, sorry ... (damn, it doesn't have the same effect of saying sorry after killing you ... Cool )

Soooo true! It's just too hard to listen to messages when you're on pregame lobby. When I get a message I just assume it's an invite request and don't even try multiple times to listen to the message.

OH GOD YEAH
I wish they'd make it so it muted the lobby when checking audio messages. Holy moley. I was like, SHUT UP GUYS NO WAIT KEEP GIGGLING I LOVE IT but oh no I can't hear these audio messages. I kept feeling tempted to leave the lobby just to answer stuff, but then I couldn't have gotten back in without messaging someone ...

Yargh. Seriously, I am not upset or anything. It was very very noisy in the lobby (and I adore you all), but man! The messages I got were sooo sad and mopey and stuff.

(sorry, a little overtired wheeeeeeeeee)

Favorite moments from last night:

I got caught in a hallway in Headlong (the one where the sword is kept) with three of the enemy beekeepers, and for some reason I was totally caught off guard and I start hysterically laughing and screaming and spinning around, and I think the reason I took so long to die against THREE opponents is because they were all laughing, too, and trying not to shoot each other.

angelo and I (and whoever assisted on gunner) taking the warthog TWICE on CTF matchmaking on Coagulation, doing our sneaky flag grab, and driving smoothly back to our base with hardly any challenge to our persons, for a tremendous win.

Same CTF game - getting rocket launched out of my pretty banshee, spawning back at the base, and going inside to leap around the flag and around Durga and Dasro, sing-songing about picking up ammo, and having an enemy come up from below through the lift, and him being dead before he even hit the floor because we just basically ripped him into tiny molecules. It was fantastically ridiculous, and I think our opponents really hated us for it.

Sitting in the lobby, a bunch of us needed pee breaks, and so we all came back eventually, and we were joking about needing to pee, and Durga says, in an impeccably timed silence, "wet the system."
