Experimental results

Well, the sangria experiment was a bit of a letdown. My performance certainly didn't improve as the amount of sangria in the pitcher decreased. I attribute the results to the fact that I wasn't able to achieve the required level of buzz. You could tell this by the fact that I never asked for a bathroom break nor did I start flirting with other players indiscriminately.

Next time, I vow to make a change in experimental design. Instead of me trying to drink myself to some level of competence, I plan to hook up players like angelo, krystyn, Dasro, ThaJinx, VectorB, waters, et al. with sangria IV's. Don't worry, I'll pulverize the fresh fruit in my blender so the lines won't get clogged. Twisted Evil

I'd like to publically thank Angelo and Krystyn for working with my newbie sister so patiently, and for everyone else who came along shortly thereafter and made her first Live experience a memorable, nonintimidating, and fun one.

She had a great time, and asked me to thank everyone.

Well, if you look at the timestamp of Krystyn's "I'm so tired" message, you'll see the time we officially stopped playing Wink. We tried to go all night long, but it just wasn't happening... Very Happy

This election is over. Survey says it is possible, but real world results suggest otherwise.

Wow

Very impressed by you guys staying up until this morning. While Phaedra is giving out thanks I need to give out apologies.
First, to Krystyn and Angelo who kept inviting me to their game even though I kept receiving the "You can not join. XBL is expeiriencing network problems" error message. Sorry if I wasted your time and thanks for the effort.
Secondly, to Phaedra, her sister, and Krystyn. I know you were hoping to get a chance to kill my wife (Cort) last night and were forced to settle for killing me. Your requests, though, did not fall on deaf ears. I believe I am close to getting her to commit to some XBL on Thursday night. She had some post Christmas shopping to take care of last night and I am planning on walking her through some levels either tonight or tomorrow so she is less intimidated.

Hmmm.... wives and first timers. Sounds like and intresting idea. Does anyone else have a spouce or significant other that does not play games reguarly? Maybe we can get together reguarly for some noobie training like for Phaedra's sis. It could be similar to R&R night on xbox live, except with beekeepers.

I think my wife would be more intrested if she was playing other people in a similar situation as hers (noob).

Thoughts, ideas, suggestions? Or am I completly too late on this and get the trout?

I had my girlfriend, Kristin, on for a little bit last night. She had fun, but the split screen makes her feel sick...me too. Maybe if I can convince her that we need to get a new widescreen television, I can get her on more Wink

I'm definitely going to try and convince my girlfriend to play, but the timing for it may have to wait till the New Year.

Apparently my Gamertag is going to stay RokaR, because it automatically renews (and just cost my DAD some money... I'm probably in trouble for that...) after the expiration of the time card. I tried to switch it to my personal Debit card so the money would come from me, but there was some stupid rule about how the expiration date of the card couldn't be the same as the month and year you sign up or change, so Live wouldn't let me switch over since my card expired this month. >_<

Ok, 8 days without Live and I'm alive! Yes, it's that hard when you're addicted! Laughing

Besides the fact that they lost all my bags on my trip to Brazil, I had a safe trip and I'm enjoying myself!

Hope you guys had a wonderful Christmas as I did and wish you all the best for 2005! I can't wait to meet you all again on Live! I HAVE TO SHOOT SOMEONE!! Laughing

Feeling is mutual ... I'm really hoping to get on tonight, that is if I can finish putting together all of the kids new Christmas toys in time Wink

Not to hijack the thread too much, but just a quick question for Waters (and put here just in case others have good input): what is the cheapest way to get to Sao Paulo Brazil? Are any of the carriers better than others? etc? Looks like I'll be heading down there in April to help my in-laws get around as they go to their foreign exchange student's wedding.

Hey, it was really fun to play with her too! Thanks for letting so many of us tag along for the induction!
