Sorry for bailing so 'early' last night guys. As many of you know I've been struggling to keep this wonderful sickness around as long as possible. So, I've been doing everything I can, staying up late, eating lots of pizza and drinking plenty of coke (much to the dismay of Phaedra who says I should be taking medicine and eating soup?!?)... Well, last night, it caught up to me. I was having a wonderful coughing fit when my father walked in the room, turned off my xbox, and told me to go home... Hrm. Sucks not having broadband at my house (good thing it won't be too much longer before that is fixed). So, sorry again...

Phaedra, I had a wonderful time 'training' your sister, although the amount of help I was most likely was negligible...

I had a lot of fun yesterday! I know it didn't sound like it, cos I had a new headset (and apparently don't sound like Sophia any more - sorry, Nova!) and was quite mellow ...

Man, were we sucking hard on those matchmaking games, or what? I am REALLY sick of dudes pulling the flag through the wall on Zanzibar. How annoying!

So good to get to play with Phaedra's sister. Wow, those handicaps are sorta weird. It's like, we're weaker and less effective, but also in a surreal universe, too. Very strange tweakiness, and it never seemed right after that, even though I made sure it was turned off. Probably because it was 4 AM and I was way sleep-deprived ...

I so lost a level on Big Team Battle. Sad! Ah well, no matter. Just gives me the chance to move up again! (went from a healthy 10 to a low 9)

Thanks to everyone who was around. You're great fun to play with.

<sigh> You're never going to get better.

Of course, I may be placing too much faith in the restorative powers of chicken s---

Nah. Chicken soup can cure everything short of death.

Hey, wait! Has anyone ever *tried* giving it to a dead person?

You were a lot of help -- she's not scared of Live anymore.

Was that the trick where they get it over near the gate and grab it? That drives me nuts, to the point where if it even gets close, I wait up on the floor above it to jump down and kill em quickly.

Well, you see the problem is that whenever I have chicken soup I don't have a dead body, gosh darn it.

And whenever I have a dead body...

You get the picture.
I promise, just for you Phaedra, that if I ever get a dead body together with chicken soup, that your suggestion will be top of my list Twisted Evil

No, what they do is take the flag, run it up that set of stairs right there (not the two ramps), and drop the flag or die right there next to the outside wall at the landing.

So, if yer playing on Zanzibar, then don't let them get anywhere near those stairs with the flag! We've taken to camping out there with a rocket launcher a bit more often now ...

my Xbox decided it was lag day tonight, so unfortunately i had to drop out.

What's this pulling through the wall trick I keep hearing about? I knew you could 'throw' the flag through the gate but that's all.

Taking the Plunge

If you want to add me, my tag is Ariock .

EDIT:
I am adding every gamertag I can find, but just realized I wasn't sending text to most people, just voice. Darn XBox noobs...

REEDIT:
everyone but krystyn, it appears, as her list is full.

Everyone wants to be on krystyn's list. She's a popular girl.

How many people make a list full? 777? Razz

Holy crap! I thought I had removed a few people, because my list was full when I tried to add Elan.

OK, next time I am on, I will take a good hard look at my list. I hate that there's a limit. Fooey!

Wall trick

The wall trick seems to be very popular on Headlong as well. I've seen people work to get the flag in the stairs next to an outside wall and then try to Spartan stack to pull it through the wall if it's on the second floor. Very annoying if you have never seen it but also a chance for an easy double or triple kill if you have a plasma grenade or rocket launcher.

Yeah, he was on on Christmas day! We played a bunch. He's good! Especially on Zanzibar, since he was actually familiar with that map.
