I certainly appreciate all the effort you put into it. I don't know why but lately I have been experiencing the "Unable to join party" message more than usual . I read that whole NAT thing on bungie.net but haven't figured out a good way around it. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
As for me, I enjoy playing with most everyone from the forums. Even the most annoying beekeepers are better than many of the matchmaking fodder. It's particularly fun once we have just gotten destroyed by another team in matchmaking Very Happy . It was funny to hear how quiet the lobby was after one game Saturday night. Everyone was in disbelief when finally Angelo says "You know something's wrong when I only get 2 kills."

 		On to happier things.

So, I just wanted to relate the story of how a bunch of us were playing clan matches (at least, I think it was that night) and we ran into an awesome group of people.

They had a girl, named Jezzebel, on their team. Angelo and Jinxie insisted that she "sounded cute."

Anyway, they were a lovely change from what we normally encounter on Live -- polite, fun to play with, and good-natured.

Unfortunately, the game was the most incredibly laggy game I've ever played. It was absurd.

But anyway, if you encounter Jezzebel and her people, be sure to be nice and tell her Krystyn and Phaedra from the ridiculously laggy clanmatch game say hi. (Since she seemed as surprised to encounter us as we were to encounter her.)

Second that! I never got teleported around so many times since my old days in UO ... I don't know who the host was, but everybody was lagging on that game, including them! But hey, at least we won! Smile

And, honestly I couldn't hear her very well to say she sounded cute.

I still think it's hysterical that we even managed to score, that game was so lagtastic.

While you will never get me to admit I'm not hilarious, My hilarity does tend toward the obscure reference. Also some version of me in an alternate reality might strain to find the joke just to finish the last 40% of a post given that I, HE, I mean he, already got that far.

So I self edit. I will re-read a post, carefully keeping the spelling mistakes for honesty, authenticity, and posterity, and decide if it is a post worth sending. My editing process is pretty much binary and results in aborting about half my posts, but you may want to try revising.

Not that that works for XBL. But if you want to follow my lead there, just never speak a full sentence, and only send text messages (even when asking for an invite).

(Yes, I am aware that declaring yourself a humility role model is silly. But in this case it makes sense as I am practically perfect in every way.)

Yeah, I recall agreeing with the cuteness call too. She definitely had a cute voice, but then again we have a few cute voices in our ranks too *winks at Phaedra, Krystyn and Kaali*

The fact that there are girls online playing Halo makes me feel like less of a nerd, so thank god we have a few of them playing with us regularly.

thank you for giving me a lead-in here, something i've been wanting to ask for almost a week now (if you remember, i only got xbl last wednesday)

what is the etiquette on inviting people to a group, or asking for an invite? especially with the supposed "politics" among some members here (which i didn't even know about because not having xbl, i didn't read this thread), i always feel like i'm walking a thin line between two extremes:
outright rudeness: "INVITE ME NOW!!!" Mad
ground-gazing sheepish-grinning toe-digging patheticness: "aw gee, i was wonderin' if you wanna... i dunno... maybe, like... give me an invite or something.... if you want... you don't have to! i mean.... its ok if you dont wanna........." Embarassed

so i'm kinda feeling left out right now, i've played a few times with you guys, and you're great! (thank you SO MUCH to those who were trying to get me into a match Saturday night before i finally gave into the network issues) but most of the time i feel like i'm not sure what to do when i'm staring at my friend list
