Poor \/\/onderboy...
He probably had exercise induced Asthma and got excited at having the bomb after running all the way across the board... only to have his hopes and dreams crushed by the keen ears of Krystyn...

Moment of silence please........

Ok, that's enough silence.

Yesterday we had another BTB assault on Headlong where they hid the bomb for 20 minutes to try to make us quit. (Game Length: 00:33:4Cool

It backfired, and 5 members of their team quit, including the bomb carrier.

Eventually we found it, but not before I hung out above their base on Defense and rained horrible horrible death upon them until the bomb was discovered.

http://www.bungie.net/Stats/GameStats.aspx?gameID=67285475&player=FugitiveSoldier#

As you can see, when 5 of them quit, we ended the round, and then began our last offense round with a 5 man advantage.

Lovely.

These type of stories are the reason this game is so fun! Smile Yesterday, we had a loooong assault game on Headlong! The other team decided to hide the bomb somewhere and just wouldn't even try to arm the bomb! Gotta hate the endless 5 seconds sudden death!

I should be on tonight. Since it's Friday, I may connect later than usual ...

Edit: Yep, same game fugitivesoldier just posted about!

Ah, i gotcha by a minute! Wink

EDIT: I just got this email from my ISP:

Quote:
Dear Valued Bright House Networks Subscriber:

We're pleased to announce yet another enhancement to the Bright House
Networks High Speed Online services- more speed! The download speed we are
now able to offer you is up to 5 Mbps (up from 3 Mbps). This upgrade means
that you will be traveling at speeds up to 100 times faster than
traditional dial-up services. With speeds like this, your time online can
be even more productive and enjoyable!

Sounds pretty cool. I like fast things. What else?

Quote:

As it is Bright House Networks' desire to provide customers with the most
advanced equipment and best online experience possible, in order to provide
these speeds, we will have to suspend your high speed access for about 30
minutes. This upgrade will take place between 12:00 midnight and 5:00 a.m.
Friday January 28th.
Once our upgrade has been completed, your modem will
return to normal service and you can start experiencing the new 5 MB
speeds. We are providing this increase of speed at no additional cost.

TONIGHT?!? They tell me about this the DAY OF?

Oh well. Sorry my West Coast'ing friends, but it looks like I won't be on much tonight.

Lovely.

Despite all that, it was actually a fun game. Tracking down the bomb carrier proved to be an interesting cat-and-mouse exercise, and finally spotting the wee beggar (and almost ramming him with a Banshee, indoors) was a hoot!

If all "bomb-hiding" games are that fun, it wouldn't be a problem.

-- Steve's looking forward to playing more games in the future.

you know some sort of hide and seek game along that theme could be a good custom idea. Would really encourage thorough knowledge of the maps.

I have to say, I think the most interesting game (from my perspective) was the phantomboomstick match on midship.

This was only interesting because of my kill count w/ regards to LoisMustDie. I had 43 kills the game, and of those, 15 were LMD. I don't think I've ever killed any one person so many times during a single game (sorry LMD!)

Game

Actually, by doing a custom juggernaut variant, you could do that. Make him fast, maybe invis, but no shields. The object of the game would be to find the juggernaut.

You'd have to self-moderate, because score would be hard to keep track of, since you only score for kills AS the juggernaut now, but it might work.

Fugitive, where are you located? I'm a brighthouse subscriber in Detroit. I can't check for e-mails about it, so I'm not sure if I'll have this problem as well ... But 5MB?? Wow!

well they said Friday, technically, didn't that mean that it already happened this morning?

or, if it is tonight, its only 30 minutes, they're just saying that those 30 minutes will be culled from somewhere in those 5 hours
either way, i think you'll be ok

I think we've proven we can self-moderate with Zombies, so that wouldn't be too much of a problem. I'll have to see if I can craft up the game type this afternoon.

Felt bad for him? How could I feel bad for him with such an awesome gamertag? *
