I'm not prone to PCness, but how about simply "Kill ball" short for Kill the person with the Ball.

It seems to me that "StQ" has undergone plenty of name changes in it's history; I for one knew it as "Tackle the man with the football."

Other suggested names: "Tackle ball" or "Melee Ball".

"Hot Potato" anyone?

Silly Fenwicked. "Hot Potato" is for kids. Laughing

Besides in Hot Potato you don't want to have the potato, which would be the exact opposite of (Insert oppropriate alternate "StQ" name here).

I just figure, in Hot Potato, if you have the potato you lose. And in the gametype you're suggesting, if you have the ball you get savagely bludgeoned to death. Smile

I should play some tonight. I'd like to play some of these custom games with you guys! I didn't get to play anything yet, not even the Zombie game ...

Yah, I love the SWAT types. They have definitely improved my ability to get headshots, helped me be more aware of my surroundings, and forced me to learn the maps (though not the weapon placements) better.

I ususally play:

No shields
Damage resistant (really makes you go for the headshots)
BR and magnum and grenades to start
No weapons or vehicles on map
First to 25 wins (or first to 50 in team play), so you don't just have one life and end up sitting forever watching if you happen to get a bad first spawn and get nailed right off.
Radar on or off depending on how people like it.

Smack and the Talking Thereof

Ok...To respond to these out of order:

As Dasro mentioned, the stupidest thing a person can do is to talk smack when they don't have the skillz to back it up. So I don't plan on talking any sort of smack any time soon. I heartily enjoyed hearing you guys do it though.

And as far as you being the worst smack talker...

Dude! You smack talked ME for opening the gate! Wink

That was a blast last night. Thanks again for the invites.

Yeah, after angelo jokingly threw some smack for you opening the gate, I decided I much rather preferred an angry angelo as a teammate than an enemy Wink.

To be fair, he didn't know at the time that I was the one who opened the gate.

Also, even if you ARE on his team do not under any circumstances STEAL HIS KILLS! Laughing Twisted Evil

Dang. What time is work over? I want to get home and play some more!

Heh... Yeah. I TOTALLY called you a bundle of wood!

I was an angry angelo... Except in that one game we lost... I just couldn't get angry since they were being so nice.

Well, I did know it was *someone* on our team, not that I cared since we were playing slayer and the gate either open or closed had no significance, but I did kinda feel bad saying that to you. I really don't get to play with you too often and I was a little worried that you might take me seriously, but when I heard you laughing about it later I was super relieved! Wink

And about that kill stealing! Freakin Dasro! Leave my enemies alone! I'm so that elf dude and you're the little dwarf! Aragon has to throw you around punk!

Nice to play with ILB'ers again last night. It's been too long. So nice to play with people who work together as a team, encourage each other, and are OK with losing too as long as they've had phun. Thanks again.

Then I have my computer to stand-by after 15 minutes of inactivity and my wife had left the computer!
