After sleeping and a quick review of my scores from last night, it turns out that the last game I was in, a 1 Flag CTF variant, held the most kills I've ever had. Hip hip.

Moving on ...

I've got a variant called Panic that I'd like to try out tonight. It involves an Oddball, pistols and extra damage. I think it would work best on Coagulation, but it needs some playtesting before I can really say.

*actual*?

I know we have talked about this before. Sorry to repeat myself but I thought everyone agreed that the definition of "beekeepers" includes a large number of people, even those that had never posted to this board.
Answering some phones counts as far as I'm concerned or even just listening to the waves and following along with the story. Very Happy

Speaking as plainly and directly as I can, I personally played the game from the very beginning (the widow's journey) to the very end (the clue from the NYC event) and made significant contributions to many parts of the story. Yeah, the "when I ---, I do--- " idea started with my response to the SP's strange email. I have more examples but I don't want to bore everyone to tears. So, I admit that I consider myself as much of a beekeeper as anyone else and I will continue to resist the narrowing of the definition of a "hardcore" or "actual" beekeeper.Very Happy

What cycles drive this thread, anyway?

Lightcycles!

I am all about the light cycles.

Isn't there an Xbox Live light cycle game in Tron 2.0?

Sorry, bad choice of terminology. By "actual beekeepers" I meant "active beekeepers." As in, active members of the Unfiction beekeeper community who are still hanging around and talking about ILB.

I'd really like it if this thread were brought back to its topic, and Phaedra, if you could start a thread on this in the Meta section (and, throw us a link to it!). It's an interesting discussion, but it's spammy enough here with our loving smacktalk and the philosophical deconstruction of blue glowy things.

Thanks!

(I know you brought it here because it's ILB-related, but I also think it's a genre-wide topic that might generate some good discussion, too)

Okay, although it seemed to violate inter-ARG courtesy to put it elsewhere.

I didn't just put it here because it's ILB-related. I put it here because in asking for opinions, I felt I was likely to cause people to express both approval and possibly strong criticism of the game, and I wanted to keep that somewhere away from most of the LX players. I don't have a problem with expressing mild disapproval there, but I figured strong disapproval of LX might offend them quite a bit. And while I disapprove *very* strongly of LX (although with recent developments, it appears that the game was launched prematurely by a single PM who ignored the careful planning and set-up of the others, which explains the low quality) I *didn't* want to ruin the newbies' first ARG experience by blasting it where they might read it.

Since the beekeepers who play on XBL seem to be the only ones who regularly read the thread, I figured this was the safest place to put it.

But I will think about what to say and start a thread over in META.

And, of course, the lovely Pita.

Yeah, but this is the XBL thread. In the Console gaming forum. What you were doing was inciting critical discussion of an ARG that touched upon an ARG that barely even hinges on whether I've sniped angelo in the head OR the kneecap.

I'm just sayin'. It's way META, it has nothing to do with XBox, and no one's told you you can't start a new thread elsewhere! Besides, weephun already beat ya to it. Smile

OMG I'm in TWO CLANS at ONCE!

Creepy!

It failed to load my Clan page when I signed on, and let me create a NEW clan. Now i'm listed as being in both?

Crazy. So what happens now when you go to your clan page? What about when you try to enter a clanmatch?

When I found Fugitive earlier, his player profile said he was in Clain Oni Section 8, which I found peculiar. I didn't know he was in a different clan, but that clan has such a good name that I could see why he would be drawn to it.

Played 'Nuke the Zombies' last night. You guys were right: It's still too easy for the Zombies. After I logged out, I cut the vehicles down to 2 warthogs, switched the primary weapon to the Magnum, put Shotguns on the map, and let weapons respawn again. What else can we do to even it up? Make it just one round, with 3 points to win the round? Make it one warthog and two ghosts or two wraiths? I already cut the bomb arming time down to 5 seconds. Should we put the battle rifle on the map, instead of the shotgun? That would be less classic-zombie, but maybe more fun. Besides, it's not like there was ever a zombie movie that featured zombies with energy swords.
