Here's a video from Ripp0n in which the Terminator himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger, was on his team! Wink

Sorry I've been kindof absent the past week guys....I've been really really really busy at work, leaving me with little time at home to get the things I need to get done. I'm hoping to make an appearance some time tonight, or tomorrow, though. Hope to hang out with you guys soon.

last night, Thunderclap and I tried in vain to connect as a party, we both kept getting the stupid "vague network error" message
the only thing we could think of was that the "seeeecret-gamer" was driving up the traffic as millions of people connected to win a t-shirt

Oh, when I was on around 8, it said chessmaster. Maybe he switched over after no one showed up.

I got on okay last night, albeit a little later than the posted time for the secret gamer. I was trying out my new 802.11g wireless game adapter: the NetGear WGE111. I picked it up yesterday at CompUSA for $40 after rebate. It's also available online at CompUSA.com, but you might want to go through FatWallet (or similar) first, to get the extra percent or two back.

Cashback via FatWallet

So far, even though the adapter is 802.11g-based, it works great connecting to my 802.11b D-Link wireless router. No discernible lag in a Rumble Pit match.

Say, how do you know when the secret gamer is online? I tried adding the gamertag 'XBoxLive' to my friends list, but the message queue is full. How can you see the secret gamer, if you can't add him to your friends list?

Random Matchmaking

How funny. I tried random matchmaking for the first time by myself yesterday, and had no idea this was going on. Not that I would have won...

Speaking of which, I am a little annoyed. I played 2 games yesterday....was getting my butt kicked in both games....but the people I was playing against quit part way through the match. So I WON. Normally that wouldn't be a problem, but I don't really want my rank going up if I don't deserve it. Especially considering that as it goes up, people will start wondering why this guy with a decent rank stinks so bad.

speaking of which, does anyone know if there is any way to get a modified xbox controller with the buttons in a more reasonable configuration? How am I supposed to clobber some guy if I have to take my thumb off the look stick to do it?

If anyone wants to help me out with training tonight, I'd sure appreciate it...
