Bwahahahaha! Bow before me!

Or not, you know, up to you.

Sure I'll give it a whirl sometime, but only if everyone else is ok with it. At the end of the night I want playing on Live to be fun, win or lose.

Hey I'd be up for some team type practices. Any day but friday is good for me. That's my usual D&D gaming night. I have been wating to do more team based tactics since I got Republic commando, It really showed me how working as a team can be beneficial. So count me in.

Ariock's Great Lack of Knowledge

I am still having trouble just with knowing where weapons spawn on the maps and the best routes to get to them at the beginning of the game. I spent about 30 min yesterday trying to learn one map....finally figured out what people had been referring to when they mentioned the "sword route." krystyn had been nice enough to show me around a few maps, but I've found that if I don't go over it immediately a few times that the whole thing just goes out of my brain. I think tactics and such need to be practiced as has been mentioned above, or I know that I, for one, will forget it pretty quickly.

I propose that if we start an occasional practice that we also put together some sort of online reference guides. For example: Let's say headlong is the map and assault the game type...we could have maps that show where the team spawn points are for each side, and which person spawning at a particular point should grab the ghost and speed toward the Rockets. they could then use them, or give them to someone better able to use them. the sniper rifle, since it isn't a contested item, should be picked up by the best sniper...we could even rank ourselves....this kind of thing would be massively helpful for someone like me, who may not have as much time to spend in practices, but could go over the strategies later.

Finally...one thing that came up in a game last night was regarding when we play as a large group, and one side ends up with a preponderence of our most skilled beekeepers. Obviously, it is fun to be on the winning side, but not quite so fun when you are respawning and can see 3/4 of your team are also waiting to respawn while only one member of the other team is dead. Last night it was suggested that in those cases, one of the most talented players should recognize this and switch. Having been in this situation (on the losing side) many many (many) times now, I realize that one of us poorer players (I am mostly looking at myself here) could switch to the other team and mention that in the interests of team balance, one of the players with the most kills should switch over.

I really wish I had thought of that last night. Instead, I just got all frustratey.

Anyway. Let me know if any of this made sense or would be helpful in any way.

I apologize for the rampant team-killing I did tonight. Every grenade just seemed to find the wrong spot...

Heh, wow I guess I should look around unfiction a bit more...never really noticed this thread till tonight. Anyways, this is DantesVenom, I am definetly up for setting up a weekly training for all the ILB players interested. I'm not the best by any means but I have absolutly no life outside of school so I could help out with anything at all that got set up. Whelp, just to suggest a time, I'd say something like Tuesdays 9 Est and just last till everyone gets bored. I say Tuesday because I always have some type of school thing on Wednesdays. If everyone here who wants in can agree on the time, I'll start setting it up and passing the word around.

Yeah if it weren't such a negative perception of team killing i'd be quite proud of myself... I swear I couldn't have done that if I was trying.

And oddly the bungie.net stats for the game claim I didn't team kill anybody... and that you Jinx killed me once Smile

Those stats are quite odd sometimes. For instance, in custom games, I'll get grenaded by someone, but it will say I was killed by the last person who actually shot me. All very strange.

That happens when the grenade was thrown by a teammate.

I call this the "lucky bastard". Your "teammate" thinks because he didn't get "BETRAYAL" over his speakers that he did nothing wrong.

See, halo 2 can't give a kill to one team and the assist to another. So the kill goes to the assist-er.

I will reply to the both of these queries with yet another quote.

For those in the know, those not, and those who just don't care, I've been dealing with a bunch of stuff in my 'real life' that started around the same time ILB was really kicking into gear. So, doing what any really wonderful moron would do, I dove into any distraction I could find (namely ILB) to keep from having to deal with the junk. The junk, as it does when you just leave it laying about, piled up to the point that I had to make the choice to take care of it, or eventually drowned under the weight of it.

I chose to take care of it, hense my absence.

To those in the know... Replies to your most recent queries are in the process of being formulated.
