as someone who attended training, and needs alot of help on things like "swordway", i only play with you guys, and most of the time we play custom games on zanzibar (zombies or whatever) so i haven't had much practice playing 'real' hardcore games. i never play matchmade games without you guys, but that's not too often either. i guess i agree with thebruce, i like the comradarie and fun of playing with friends most of all, but i think that a bit more cohesion and coordination will increase that experience

however, those training sessions need work! krystyn, i respect your 'sk1llz' and really was listening to you before you got interrupted again and again. guys, if you're in training, PLEASE be mindfull of everyone else and don't all shoot at each other and blather on about nothing

now, that being said: wednesday's Headlong training WORKED for me! i was taught how to get the defense's ghost up to the offense's sniper rifle. the next night, a teammate (don't remember who) announced "i'm going for their sniper!" i replied from the ghost "i got your back!" we went up together, he ducked behind a wall and i took out the 3 dudes defending it with my cannons, and we took the weapon! so the training IS working already

See your donations are going for a worthy cause. Please continue to help little CoffeJedi and others with the small contribution of $0.32 a day...

I agree whole heartedly. Maybe we need to have a smaller 8 man group to really focus on learning a strategy, map awareness, and commanding. This may be more accurate to real life conditions as only a handfull of us will be working together as a trained unit anyway. Then we can bark orders to anyone that is not up on our tactics and use them as bullet shields.

But the biggest benefit is the reduction in radio chatter because only those interested in learning will be there. Anyone that's causing problems can be booted without affecting strategies (since playing with 1 or 2 men down will need to be praticed)

I tend to notice that games go better in matchmaking when we don't have a full team. I usually like 5 or 6 for big team and then 2 or 3 for skirmish. I don't know why, it just works better like that. Question Thanks Uber for the compliment bout my playing and everyone else's. I think you got it right on with that. We all tend to just do what is needed and not stick to certain roles, and sometimes people end up doing too much of one thing and not spacing ourselves out evenly, not too hard to fix, before games we need to start announcing exactly what we are doing and go with it. Like who's on D, Who's taking what vehicle, where the sniper on our side will be and just about everything else. Even who's got rockets/sniper/sword and who's killed the other teams sniper/rockets/sword also mentioning exactly where they dropped at. Smile
Thats about all I've got for now, I'll see you guys in game!

I have to admit...the only real game type that I go for sniper is on Waterworks...most of the time I run all out for the flag or bomb...

I think that is why I like objective games so much...gives you a goal other than "most kills"

Dante: You're welcome. Like I said just my observations...BTW...I have dual needlers...fear me Very Happy

If I can keep my attention span today, perhaps I'll take a map or two and make diagrams of spawn points and terminology frequently used in matchmaking.

I don't fear you... I fear your dual needlers. Smile

Map: Zanibar
When: Last Saturday Night
"I got needler!" -Grifter7
"HAHAHA. He just called needler!" -DantesVenom

A few moments later... Enemy attacking in Ghost

"Fear the Needler!"- Grifter7 yelled @ the Ghost Driver
Ghost Driver - D.O.A.

Lesson learned - Fear the needler.

Okay everyone, here's the new thread for discussing strategies and such. http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=139664#139664

Can a mod move some of the existing stuff over, please?

OOOO oooo GOOOD! I've never done it in Hi Def before, be gentle baby... Laughing
But speaking of making a diagram, there has to be someone out there who's ripped the map diagrams off the disc, right? It seems that would make things extremly easy considering that it's damn hard tot use words to describe where something's at or a distinct area without a picture if someone doesn't know maps too well. I now commense the mad scouring of the internet!! Wink By the way, I want to get a really good team for Skirmish together, maybe 4 people and a sub for weekly nights. :-p I've been playing that alot lately, I'm much more fond of small maps n the less complicated tactics there. Send me a messege on Live if you be interested!
