Was it just me or was last night the most fun you've had playing HALO 2 EVER?

i really wanted to play with everyone last night, but things are rather complicated here right now, hopefully sometime later this week, i really really need to get some frustrations out

Remember, Young Caffeine Padawan:
"Frustration is the path to the dark side. Frustration leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering."
[Ok ok so I substitited Frustration for Fear...] Smile

Also I checked my game stats and they are all there so those who couldn't see their stats earlier try again now and see if they have returned.

Congrats, ATDT! Cool

given the new melee power, I think I'm gonna start trying out an alternate controller config.

Thunder, what I noticed yesterday, is that I couldn't turn as fast as I wanted to melee some guys. I lost some kills because people were jumping all over the place (this is a side effect of the melee boost. Even more jumpy people!) and I couldn't hit them ... So I think I'll increase my sensitivity. Right now it's 7, I might try 8 or 9 ... Thing is, I'm sniping a lot more lately, so I don't know if it's a good idea.

Grifter is right. Stats are back!

My main problem seems to be the awkward position of the melee button on the default config. It's fine for the occasional smack, but using it constantly results in sore fingers for me. So I'm looking to reposition that one somewhere else.

What I learned last night:

Grenades are dangerous. Very, very dangerous.

No matter how many times you miss, Your opponents will think you are a vicious sniper if you ever get two head shots in the same round.

With enough bodies piled in the middle of Midship, your XBox will, indeed, slow down.

A brute shot really is very convenient for clearing a room.

I am definitely likening all of the changes! the nades are soooooo much fun now. For an extra boom, stick a ghost that someone left lying at the feet of your enemies. They blow up real good! We played a custom game of nades and bruteshots on Foundation, it was so much fun! (even if we were outnumbered) the distance the brute can shoot and be effective is now something to be contended with, and i actually used the bounce around corners ability!

The only thing that I wish that they did alter a bit was the sniper rifle. I know I know there are many sniper lovers out there and I had better duck and jump around for a while, but I still think that its a bit too powerful. I just dont think that a gun that give some one with the slightest skill the ability to outkill everyone on the map 3 to 1 is an evenly balanced weapon. I would have liked to see it have a slightly slower reload time or something, which means head shots or risk loosing your target. But we will see. now that I can lob bruteshots across the map or a reasonably close grenade, things might even out.

Did I join that game in the middle? I thought I played the whole match, but looking at the number of shots everybody took, I think I joined in the middle of the game ... Unless you guys were using the turret with 80%+ accuracy!!

Sorry, man! Somehow I thought the game was just starting! When I first spawned, there were at least 3 guys starting right there with me! I wasn't even paying attention to the score, otherwise I would've switched teams!

Not a problem, you guys didnt dominate us so badly that it wasnt fun. we were this -> <- close to planting the flag when you guys got your third. We will have to play that one again sometime now that the brute is no longer frustrateing.

i'd like to see a heartbeat/breathing view added to the sniper rifle, i've seen other games do this effectively, move the scope to fast, and it jumps around all over the place and then rocks up and down until your breath and heartbeat slows to normal levels again, that would really even out the weapons and make sniping even harder
