Oh, isn't that sweet, your revisionist history? Tee hee! Smile

There were a couple of fantastic double deaths between me and Twizzler that cracked me up. He kept trying the plasma/battle rifle combo, and I was throwing frag grenades and using the brute shot, and we'd both fall flat to the ground, dead. I love when the death pose is the same, too. The first instance, our spartans both just sort of fell over, flat as a board, at the same moment. I was cracking up.

Good times.

Yeah someone sent me an invite last night, but there was like, 1 space open, and I had my 4 buddies with me, and I wasn't about to abandon them and our wacky gametypes.

Nunavut Style is an in-joke, going back to high school when my friend Nick created the wrestling character "Nunavut" Nick Mullins for his Psychology project. The project got a bad grade, but he got a nickname out of it. Nunavut fights with canadian rules, allowing him to use baseball bats, and as a result Nunavut Style gives us....Spectres?

Either way, Spectres seem MADE for Sanctuary. Give em a shot, there's a few spots on the map that's a bit tight for em, but their manueverability makes them quite handy.

Defending the base on Containment comes down to watching the following spots:

The tunnels on both sides of the base-dual wields can rule these.
The ramps out front of the base-someone on the sniper platform can see them coming, and alert the people inside.
The gate is only a concern if it's open, and again, a sniper platform person or even someone up top can see people coming in.

Getting the flag itself is difficult due to all the corners for defenders to hide around, and that ever present Brute Shot. If someone manages to make it out, they're still out in the open, and targets for quick snipers.

Defending Containment requires A LOT of communication, I can tell that already.

I don't know, when we played yesterday, it seemed obvious that the best way to get out with the flag is to use the teleporter. So, if you protect it well, it's pretty much impossible to take the flag through any other route. That's what I didn't like much about Containment. It's a HUGE map, but failure/success depends on what happens in that very small area where the flag and teleporter are located! That was my first impression with the map and it can certainly change over time ... In fact, I hope it grows on me.

That's the easiest way out, although another idea is simply to take their warthog, or your own, and leave with that. Tunnel running is also completely possible, if they don't know which way you're leaving.

Personally my favorite idea was to get a hog near the teleporter exit, open the gate as a distraction, and have people move in through the tunnels. Teleport out with the flag, drive off.

I was referring to actually getting INTO the base, where you are talking about leaving it.

If you have the tank out by the exit of the telaport then you can easly gard it, but what I think is the best entrence is the tunnels on the sides.

Talking Turf... I found the best sniping point to gard the red flag/oddball/arm point for blue team/ect. I will have to show you all. It is so high up I can't beleave I found it. I'm not gunna be on tonight... I have till 1 hour from now. So if you want to see it I'll be on. I know non of you have seen exatly where I am talking about some of you have seen me get ut close to it but its better then anything I have seen because the smg cant do damage when your up there.

I Are OLAH GOD!! I officailly own Containment, tomarrow night during training or tonight if you are lucky I will show you. I have now found the best sniper spot in the world, thru the inviso walls and on top of either base. It can be done with two people in less then two minutes. It can be done in matchmaking without any special planning trouble or anything, it's great and it's waaaayy easier then the other best sniper spot in the world that Vash found, cept you can't get sniper ammo on Containment, so it's less important, but it's still teh goodness. Laughing
Sorry, ok it just makes me extremely happy, took me about 2 hours to figure it out.
Vash- "Oh you've never been up here?*all knowing sounding* Well, theres an invisible wall thats stops you from going anywh-...holy sh*t I'm floating!" Rolling Eyes

Naw, it's more of a friendly rivalry...extremely competitive rivalry. Which I always win...even tho he's a sniping wh*re... Cool
Oh wait...that didn't sound to friendly, did it? Wink Anyways, I don't hate him, hell he helped me out today, I just had the idea, I still needed him to actually stand still so I could launch him up there!

FYI: On Containment, the sniper rifle respawns every 2:15. It doesn't matter whether you're holding the sniper rifle or have ammo. The brute shot spawns every 0:30.

Look, why do I keep hearing "Bad, Clayfoot!" and then getting killed? I'm not that bad.
. . .
Well, not on the inside.
. . .
Well, not on the outside.
. . .
Well, not in my journal.
. . .
Shut up!

Actually, I think a lot of us hear, "Bad yourname!" and it's become just a teensy bit annoying.

I appreciate the invites several of you sent last night but as soon as I backed out of a game or finished a matchmaking game the invites were no longer there. I didn't want you to think I was ignoring your offers.
I don't know if this is something new or if I have just never noticed but it seems like the invites don't hang out there once someone has started a custom game. In the past, the invite would let me join during the game but it doesn't seem to work like that now. Oh well, hope you guys had fun and maybe I'll see you on tonight.

While you could always cancel a party invite, it's more likely a result of switching parties. If I send an invitation while I'm in a party, the invitation is only good while I'm in that party. If I leave the party and join another, the invitation is automatically cancelled. If the party fills up to matchmade capacity, I do cancel previous invitations to keep the party from getting too big to play.
