This reminds me of hearing "You commited suicide" and, after the natural WTF, I could hear Ubercado laughing. Only then I realized I was standing at the exact spot the warthog respawns. Talk about being at the wrong place at the wrong time! I just don't know how getting that freaking hog spawning over me can be qualified as a suicide! Laughing

 		Ha, that was the point in rumble pit, it pissed people off, annoyed them and generally made them not play as well. I picked it up from someone else I was playing with when I first started. Guess It's kinda carried over to playing with you guys:oops:

 		The Unauthorized Halo 2 Battle Guide has a tip on vehicle suicides:

Deaths caused by vehicles carry the same re-spawn penalty as a suicide. Therefore, you may be able to force a long re-spawn by jumping out of a vehicle just as it coasts over your target. Instead of being credited with a frag, your foe will be charged with a suicide. If you're behind in a slayer game, this will drop your opponent's score and could give your team a bit more time to catch up--not to mention bragging rights for a sweet move.

 		Interesting idea, I'm not sure I'd have the timing to pull it off though. More likely than not I'd end up running myself over somehow - straight out of the Upper Class Twit of the Year Competition.

I've done it a couple of times. Mostly with the warthog because it goes the farthest after you bail out. The ghost pretty much slows down immediatly so you will have to bail out closer to the target. I have not attempted doing this with a Banshee, though I have killed myself a couple of times after bailing out in mid air. There's nothing like dropping in on the enemy base and having your dreams shattered by the banshee falling from the sky right on top of you.... What are the odds?

That was so funny. I was sitting on top of the warehouse looking through the scope of the sniper rifle, following Waters100 around, when all of a sudden this Warthog/Puma/Chubacabra thingy appears and lands on Waters head. I couldn't stop laughing for about 5 min. Laughing

BTW - I got on top of the wall behind the Med Tent last night and the surrounding buildings...Great spot for a sniper perch to cover the Blue base spawn point... Twisted Evil

Today (WED) is Training Day 8 pm - 10 pm EST

We are playing with the (free) new maps tonight. The plan is to run something like OddBall and/or Crazy King. Look for ROBOGriff or Clayfoot (as if you didn't know from the last few weeks)

he showed me last night... its HARD to get to. Basically it involves jumping up a series of impossibly small footholds that shouldn't be available to you in one particular alley. It gets you high atop the adjacent building and you can actually see the top of Scarab. Look for the shed with a two-part corrugated roof and start there. I was only able to make the first leap to the impossibly tiny pipe last night, after that its 3 more hops to the top. It's almost impossible to describe though.

 		I got it just about down this afternoon after mutant squrrial left me, I'll show everyone tonight during the training! Laughing Ps- This sniper spot and the one on containment we were doing for the neverending bomb game last night shouldn't leave the clan until it gets out to the rest of "Live!" cuz right now, I've got those two spots down good enough to use in matchmaking once they update the playlist next week. Rolling Eyes

 		Actually... I am looking forward to seeing what tactics other people use on the new maps...just to see what they have come up with...

Come to think about it...has anyone thought of placing a Wrath on turf to see if you can be launched on to the roof tops yet like what was done on Headlong?
