Hello everyone.

I hope to return soon. I've been on a whirlwind tour of my office for the past few weeks. I just couldn't find the time to poke my head in Halo to say hello. Sorry about that. Things are calming down a bit and I hope to see everyone soon.

I miss my rockets Sad

Tonight was the first night in months that I actually sat down to play a game of halo. Dearest roommate has made more use of my account than I have in recent times with 18 credit hours of school and 30 some odd hours of work, that get me by.

It was a very enjoyable time for most of the night. Saving the last game.

I'll address that here:

Once upon a time, in a land called last year, Krystyn headed up a defense of being unhappy with playing certain people on live games because of being killed so often in a game, and having no fun.

Well, not too shortly after being told repeatedly the teams were not even, the silentseven guy was learning how to play, we started a game anyway. Had the most unpleasant time being beaten left and right and getting to be nothing more than moving targets, which as fun as that is in most cases, it wasn't in this one. And it was stated, very clearly without interruption as a foreseen problem several times.

Krystyn, while you called what Fugitive, Tsuki, and marco did, "inconsiderate, and rude" I simply thought to myself "Hypocrisy"
It was very inconsiderate of the fact that you guys were undoubtedly having so much fun playing an outnumbered team with a brand new un broken in player, and unsurprisingly winning.
Yes very much so.
However on the other end, it really wasn't fun. What was inconsiderate in my eyes is ignoring the pleas to even the teams first. Then jumping up in arms when people choose to leave an unentertaining game of beat down.
Very strictly hypocritical of your earlier views, if I may point out.

I'd also point out that if you have an ongoing problem with someone, whether that's Tsuki or someone else, you might try addressing them directly, and not holding private bitching sessions. But then again, this isn't a real social circle so maybe standard etiquette doesn't apply? But I'll personally pretend it does, and refrain from using any particularly abstract metaphors, and simply say that I am very much so disappointed in how you conducted yourselves.
On that topic, I am closed to argument; don't even have the time to check back. I just wanted to thank everyone responsible for ending the night on a high note.
Mad

I know my real social circles often will belittle someone and then run away before they can reply. Because we care a lot about etiquette.

Yeah, my social circle pretty much has us all teasing and ripping on each other a lot, whether or not the person in question is there. But I suppose that makes me an awful chap?

I find it poor etiquette to quit out of any game, matchmaking or custom. I feel bad those few times I do it, but generally speaking I suck it up and stick it out, regardless of the quality of my teammates, the map, the gametype, or whatever other factor. I mean, I hate Colossus for everything, but I don't go running off the first moment I see that accursed grav lift. Similarly, one of my friends is AWFUL at halo. Seriously, the man barely ever plays, and when he does, he's little more than a warm body filling out an armor. But again, I stick it out.

The teams were what they were. I've been on teams with the less experiences folk before, and vice versa. It happens. I've been in games where the other team has been sniping me mercilessly, and I damn well know it's been the other way around. No sense, nor any real gain to be had by, complaining about these things. You wanted to switch up teams, and it happened. People switched sides around, though apparently it wasn't the people you were really hoping for.

I dunno what to tell you. Even in the games I was getting my ass kicked in I was having a pretty good time. And I can't blame you for wanting to quit. But my belief is that you finish what you started, and it's rude to do otherwise.

i think the point here got masked;

the problem wasn't really the teams, but more of the stuff said after people left.

That said, as one of the people that left, I missed all of this chat.

I only heard about it from Incit, so I can't comment on it.

Other than this I had a lot of fun tonight. Smile

It was largely people venting that you guys all quit, followed by Incit offering a reason, which was refuted when it was noticed that you were in matchmaking.

this isnt the first time stuff has been said about me behind my back for NO reason, i highly do not appreciate being talked to like this. If she has somthing to say to me or anyone for that matter say it to me directly or shut up. I dont like the whole high and mightly crap either, i dont care who you are if you cant grow up and face me like an adult then just shut your mouth, im tired of it.

me and tsuki had planned on playing Double Team from before I signed on; when I first left the match to see what was up, she was Offline (sealedseven was on her machine and was the last to log). She came back, and we decided to just do DT then.

Either way, I stopped caring when other people suddenly quit customs to play MM with a smaller group long ago; we went over that kind of behavior last summer.
