Ubersaurus, you might want to look into how your Xbox or 360 is NATing. If it is Open you can join almost any game, if it is Moderate, you can join most, if it is Strict however you can join very few. A possible solution would be to get a new Router that is Xbox Live certifed, or making sure that your Xbox is setup in the DMZ of your router.

Go here for more info:
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/connecttolive/xbox360/connectionmethods/troubleshootliveconnection.htm

My router is an xbox live certified sort, and it's set up perfectly fine.

This just happens now and then, and I usually just chalk it up to xbox live being whiny.

My current router is a 4-in-1 type deal that I bought on the fly because my poor old modem died a rather pathetic death, and I really can't be without my internets. Razz

Hopefully, I am getting my brother's old modem from when he and I had the same ISP, so I will soon be able to join lobbies with very little trouble. Right now, it's a pain in the ass, and I hate having to wait for more people to log on just so we can do the lobby/login dance.

Also, my headset on my phone just died, so until my new plantronics/halo 2 one arrives in the mail next week ($15, woot!), you will likely hear echoes from me on Halo, as I have to set everything to speakers only.

Would that be like the echoes of Krystyns' past? Razz

Is that what it was? I thought you placed everything in a small tin box and attempted to play...

Seriously, does that not suck? I cannot WAIT for the Plantronics headset to arrive.

Also, I am getting a new cellphone, and a new earpiece for that. I am so tired of stuff breaking, especially stuff that I treat well.

Sorry for the echoes, everyone. I tried to mute my mic and stuff, but it was hard, because I spent most of my time trying to make out what y'all were saying, as it sounded all muddled coming from my mediocre speakers.

Rar.

Dallas is my real first name for those who don't know.

Yuri was a riot, and was very nice to everyone who stayed to get something signed after the "Voice Actors Uncut" panel ended.

I told him I forgot my ILB training badge and DVD at home, and that I was gonna have him sign those originally. His eyes went wide, surprised that he ran into someone with both items, and told me to take good care of 'em, because they may become quite a collectors item (more than they already are to us).

He signed the back of my Staff badge instead, with the order to "Fight the Covenant" above his name. xD

I hate living too far away from cool events like that to go. >_>

In other news, I have no idea why my plantronics Halo headset is having issues with my 360, but apparently playing with it on last night caused my microphone icon to be continually lit (on my end, I don't know if you guys saw it or not), and everyone speaking to me sounded like they were gargling salt water. And I apparently sounded that way to you guys. Sorry for that. (I looked, for a few minutes, for my 360's original headset, feeling that I might be doomed to using something inferior, but couldn't find it.)

Then I couldn't get Zanzibar to load (what? It's part of the original game, how'd I fail that?) and tried to restart, and then Live itself started giving me flak.

Don't tell my 360 this, but I'm beginning to think I was better off with just an Xbox. ...then again, that Dead Rising demo was pretty spiffy.

It's my birthday.

So I am thinking I will be on Halo tonight, and we can have some fun with custom games and whatnot.

Let's bring back some of the old crew, and put away our sniper-whoring ways for a night!

Sorry we couldn't ever get linked up in a game last night. I kept getting network errors and net splits all night. Poo on Charter!

I think a lot of it is my router, honestly.

I should get my hands on a better modem soon, and I can re-hook the Linksys router, and get that running again.

Thanks to everyone who came out last night! There was still massive sniper-whoring, which made me really sad.

Is the plantronics headset supposed to have a more...how to put this...radio-esque sound on the speaker than the standard xbox live headset?

I'm wondering if it's just a problem with my dongle itself(I think a cat may have utilized it) or if it's supposed to do that. As it stands, everyone sounded muffled if they weren't enunciating clearly :O

Sorry if I was a bit grumpy last night, I was having a bad day!
