I joined mid way through that pistol whip game last night... it was freaking awsome!

I think I might have to move the Xbox upstairs. My roommates were like "Aren't you bored with this yet?".

You know what else is great fun?
a game full of beekeepers and 3 guys who have no clue what ILB is.
A Ninjanaught match, and a chorus of "Stormy Weather"
Laughing

Yeah, I added you as soon as I saw your post here.

And I never saw Nova online! I think I added you on first day, but never saw you. About accent, I'm surprised nobody said anything about mine, since I'm Brazilian! I just get a few "huh?" once in a while! Laughing

And my apologies for that sucky 1-flag-only-blue-attack game I set up yesterday! I was experimenting with the game settings and I pick the wrong game type. My bad! At least the following game was nice! Specially since we won! With Krystin carrying the flag to victory! Cool

Yah, after the stupid network finally let me join in last night, I had a great time. You guys are the absolute best to play with. I was ignoring requests from my own clan left and right Very Happy

Water10, we ought to be on the same team then, I could use some practice on my Portuguese (and proximity voice wouldn't matter Wink ). Where in Brazil are you (or where you from)? I spent almost 2 years in Sao Paulo ('96-'9Cool.

Yeah, I don't know what's going on with these network problems! I think you probably received 8726345 invites! 29055 from me, 28096 from Krystyn, 344076 from the rest! And the lag has not been the same for the last couple of days. I don't know if it's coincidence or not, but it seems to be happening after the patch ...

You lived in Brazil? Nice!! I'm from Sao Paulo, but I'm living in Detroit for almost 5 years now, working on the automotive industry. What were you doing there? And how did you like it? (you can be honest! Laughing )

Actually I had a very hard time hearing you last night, but it wasn't because of your accent. I had my volume cranked and you were still very quiet.

Good to know. It might be the mic I'm using. I'm using a cell phone one. I'll have to make some tests. Anyone having the same difficulties to hear me?

I was on a church mission there and I loved it. I worked in areas all the way from Miracatu (banana farming community) to the middle of the city. Man, I miss guarana and rodizios, though there is a good place down in Salt Lake City that I go to everytime I visit my family.

I was definitely glad to get back to the good ol' USofA (especially carpet, I really really really like carpet) and my family here, but I loved my stay there and plan on going back many times both to visit and possibly live there for a few years (if I can arrange that with some company for working provisions).

My wife spent 1 1/2 years in Switzerland as a foreign exchange student and we'd love to end up there sometime also. Guess we'd better start saving, huh?

Yah, so between the 2 of us, we've got 5 languages: English, German, Swiss, Protuguese, and American Sign Language (I learned that in college working with a deaf engineering student) ..... our poor kids Rolling Eyes Wink

Ummm, yah, back to topic. I really think my wireless connection is slowing me down on live. I always seem to be the first and worst to lag. I'm going to try running cable to the box and seeing what kind of difference it makes, I'll let everybody know (so they don't waste money on wireless if that is the problem).

I don't think Krystyn scored with the flag..I was behind her when she died. She did get the flag past the critical thresh hold in Zanzibar which allowed me to grab the flag and run to victory. That was defenitely a key flag grab Krys Smile

I'm really glad I got to hop into some games with you guys. I played a couple of optimatch games earlier and was teamed with the most annoying kids. Have you seen Dumb and Dumber? Remember when he was like " Wanna hear the most annoying sound in the world?" and the he made that awful noise..These kids were doing that on team chat the whole time. Well..eventually I got booted from the game because I betrayed them so much..That few seconds of time when people die and they can't talk was like heaven Laughing

Man..It's Friday morning and I'm in a terrible mood. I just woke up like that. Sucks...You ever have those days when you just want to find a hole to crawl in cuddle up and cry all day?(yes, I'm a guy and I'm not afraid to cry Wink )

Anyway, I'll see some of you tonight

Yes Waters, I could hardly hear you as well. It most likely is your mic, your contacts may be off a little bit.

Tell me about it!!! You can order some stuff online from Brazil! Guarana is certainly one of them. If you want I can send you a pm with the website! I have some american friends that love guarana and they are always ordering it. You can order "carne seca" to cook "feijoada" as well. For the people on the Chicago area, try the "Fogo de Chao" restaurant! It's expensive (for me, at least), but you'll get to taste a nice rodizio! Once in a while, my Brazilian friends drive from Detroit to Chicago just to go to that restaurant ...

Eclipse, all I could hear was Krystyn celebrating and people cheering! But she was still key to that score, so it's all good!

Yes, please PM me the site. Do they have pao de cajou (spelling?) mixes? (little hot cheese bread things that are akin to sweet manna from heaven Very Happy )

Both Tucano's and The Rodizio Grill in SLC and Orem UT are great rodizio's. If anyone is ever in the area, you should really try them out.

She defenitely was the key to that score. With the amount of time left if she didn't get that carry we wouldn't have made it.

Man, you two are making me want to travel. I've never been outside of the US, except I dropped into Canada on my way to Colorado once so that I could go to a bar when I was 19, but it didn't really count because it was Toronto..Tourist Toronto so it was like any other American city. We stashed our marijuana in Buffalo then headed to the bar Laughing

Now I really want to go to Japan. For as long as I can remember I've been completely in love with the Japanese culture. The people are beautiful, and the landscape...fughettaboutit. I just need to save up about 5k and I should be able to head out on a nice 5-6 month trip in Japan. We'll see what happens.
