Me too. I think I tried to accept an invite from you, and was cruelly denied.

Oh, I didn't know that. I'm not sure if turning my firewall off would help on this situation. We have some experimenting to do. But when this happens, send me a message telling me you're having network problems and we can try to find solutions. I never had problems with some people, like Krystyn and Angelo, but I always had problems with weephun.

I know I could join Kaber after I turned off my firewall. It's a start ...

I never know what's happening on Coagulation.

Well, part of that is that you don't have a headset. But the game with Krystyn, Kaber and INCyr (how do you say your name, btw?) was totally different than most CTF games, since we had only 4 players and it was ctf classic!

I remember once I got their flag and went through the teleporter and prepared an ambush for Krystyn! I was just waiting for her to follow me and then hit her with the flag! But I waited a bit too far and missed her by a few inches!!! I bet she could hear the wooosh sound the flag pole did right behind her! I kept following her, but I think you run slower when you're carrying the flag so I could never catch her! Then Kaber come through and start saying: Righ behind you, Krystyn! I had to mute my mic, cause I was laughing!! She turned around and killed me ... Laughing Great moments like this, make the game so much better!

I suck at the trash talk Wink.

They definitely ruined the atmosphere...

I'm definitely not mad at you man. The thing you classified as 'trash talk' was out of humor not malice, just as I hope my 'eat it' was recieved... Wink

I love joking around over dead bodies, even mine...

Add to that Wal-Mart's testimony for Chinese manufacturers at the International Trade Commission hearings --a case that was ultimately decided against the Chinese.

Also, Wal-Mart openly admits selling certain products, like prescription drugs, for below cost until local competition dries up. Wal-Mart says it's all part of the competitive spirit. And with prescription drug prices so high, I can't blame some folks for buying from Wal-Mart.

Fortunately for you, Phaedra, you live in an area where other retailers are plentiful enough to make avoiding Wal-Mart a practical option. As you get farther from cities and suburbs, Wal-Mart has already driven out smaller retailers, and consumers have no choice left. I have been places in Florida and Georgia where Wal-Mart was the only store for miles and miles.

<sigh> Yeah, I know.

There's a blue-state red-state demographics point to be made here. I'm not just talking about politics, by the way: blue-state and red-state have become cultural indicators as well as political ones. Costco is a blue-state discount retailer. They keep to the coasts and large metropolitan areas. They have more liberal employment practices, they cater to a more affluent customer base, etc. Walmart likes the south, the rural areas -- they don't do so well in large metropolitan areas. They're vociferous advocates of unregulated capitalism, and interestingly enough, their executives have been described as having an almost religious fervor -- they're a much more ideologically-driven company. There's also a bit of censorship that goes on as far as what products they'll carry.

Both companies fit the stereotypes almost exactly, unfortunately. Because, as we all know, if there's anything we need right now, it's reinforcement of the stereotypes.

But, considering, I'm not surprised there were places in Florida and Georgia where all you could find was a Walmart.

Wisconsin's a blue state, but only barely. Thus, it would take me about 25 minutes to get to the nearest Walmart, but we do have them.

Oh, absolutely, I took yours all in good fun. Speaking of which, I'll be on tonight sometime if anybody wants to try to get together Smile.

If I am on tonight, it'll be later.

That moment with kaber telling me there the flag bearer was, yes indeed. Too awesome. Waters totally got me at one point - he grabbed the flag, ran out of our base, but waited to do it until he saw me near the entrace. He dropped the flag and blam! killed me daid, then went running. Tricksy bastard! Very Happy

It was a long game, but even though at one point I felt mentally tired, it was still good practice. I got to do a lot of vehicle stuff, which is something I am actually decent at.

Don't forget about Walmart's recent expansion into Hawaii. They bulldozed a cemetery, which obviously was hotly contested, but because of some "beurocratic" mix-up, have the bodies stored in a refrigerated trailer at the site, and probably won't be able to put them back to rest until next April. How's that for respect.

Wow. Before my "worst thing Walmart did" was when they took out life insurance policies on all of their employees and made themselves the benefactors, but I think this tops it.

Yeah, there were some awesome exchanges last night. I do remember at least once when everyone on the map was dead. I was impressed at that.

2x2 on coagulation with classic CTF REALLY makes you think about strategy... you have to figure out how to protect the flag and get back to your base, without getting your flag taken... and given that you need 2 people to drive a warthog and carry the flag.... you do the math.

As for my "name", you can use any of the following:

in-sear
eye-in-sear
Ian

It's a online nick, it's unique, so I ususally use it for anything where it has to be unique, and just have people refer to me by name (Ian).

edit:
I'll probably be on starting 6-7 EST. So if any games are started, I'd LOVE to get in on them if possible.

Also, my roomate is on live, and is looking to meet people (he doesn't have the beekeeper base to draw from), so I'll probably be asking to have him invited if possible. He's a good guy, and I promise he'll behave himself Wink

If he starts singing Backstreet Boys, he will have to watch it. Even if he's on my team. Twisted Evil

Tricksy bastard!

After tons of grabbing the flag/getting killed/flag returned, it was clear we would have to try new tricks to score! The whole get flag and run like hell was not working ... Lots of shotgun shells helps a lot! Cool

I should be online after 6:00-7:00. If there's not enough people to have a decent custom game. We can try matchmaking as a party!

I will definitely be on tonight around 9 p.m. CST and fully expect to have some beekeeper lovin' ... even if the only 'lovin' I get is the rounds from the end of a shotgun.

It's been a whopping three days or so since I've played with the keepers and I'm already feeling lonely... maybe I should add that to the 'You know you're an ILB addict when..." thread.

And Krystyn, I fully expect you to be online while I'm online ... I miss your gigglin' my precious... Wink

Oh geez, I forgot about that. Who were those guys, anyway? And as long as you were laughing at them, I couldn't stop either. And I know what you mean about missing the beekeepers...I couldn't get online yesterday, and I definitely was going through withdrawal Smile

*EDIT: Oh, and, just for the record.... I actually got more kills than Angelo once. Just for the record. You know. Smilehttp://www.bungie.net/Stats/GameStats.aspx?gameID=10050898&player=Dasro%20Kast

I'm kinda thinking about adding wettowel ... or what ever his name was to my friends list, then inviting him to a little one on one match. Twisted Evil

I found it interesting that he wouldn't accept my challenge while in the lobby. Rolling Eyes
