EMAIL SAM: Missing Eyewitnesses Story Continued

I have adopted the persona of David Lang (ring any bells?), an investigator for XBI Paranormal Investigations. Using the missing soldier story concocted by "Colonel Ursulla Fitz" and the recent inquiries of "Professor Faust" as the framework for David's existence, I believe we are successfully contributing our own small addition to the overall saga and it will hopefully yield some interesting results.

"David" recently contacted Sam to introduce himself and ask a few questions:

Quote:

Mr. Greene,

My name is David Lang and, on behalf of my employer
XBI Paranormal Investigations and our client(s), I
have recently arrived in town to investigate the
disappearances of several alleged eyewitnesses to the
Sprague Family accident on 02/14.

I was at the courthouse during the press conference
today and noticed I'm not the only new person in town.
In fact, little Aglaura seems to have become quite the
burgeoning metropolis of late over something that
might otherwise be regarded as trivial. I have been
assured by our client(s) that this case is far from
trivial, however.

If you need anything or have information you wish to
impart to me, you may contact me at this address for
the time being. Although I will be in town
indefinitely during my investigation, I prefer as
little personal contact as possible with so many
strange eyes on us.

If you require verification of my identity, let me
know and I will provide this for you. Please do not
reveal my existence here in town to anyone you do not
fully trust.

I'll be touch.

DL

Here is Sam's response:

Quote:

Dear Mr. Lang:
You are quite right, the recent events around here involving Dale have
sure stirred up a lot of interest and curious people. But then, it doesn't
take a psychic to see that.

So you were at the Press Conference? Quite an interesting turn of
events with that last question from that radio reporter. She really blindsided them. She sure has Pat, Doug, and the other head honchos here shook up. It's a shame that she kind of took the interest off of Dale and what he's going through, though.

I'm not sure why there are so many "paranormal" investigators,
reporters, and other people showing up and looking into this. I'm mean, I know what some people are saying after they read that diary that Dale put on his site, but, hey, no one can really believe that stuff, right? Right? He was under a lot of stress and even medication when they released him from Greatwater, you know.

Believe me, I trust Dale and am actively working to get him out of the
facility he is in. And I do think there is something wrong in this whole
situation, something I haven't been able to put my finger on yet. But I've never been one to believe much in that paranormal stuff. Wes Keeler (I'm sure his store his attracted your attention by now, considering your line of work!) calls me "Sam Skeptic" actually.

I'm thinking though, that maybe, with some of the things that have
recently come to light around here, maybe Dale stumbled upon some records or something linking people around here with this organized crime investigation going on.

I'd be really surprised, honestly, if the Mayor was involved in
anything 'cause he has a hard time keeping anything straight.
Listen, I've said too much already. If you haven't talked to him yet,
stop in and see Wes. he may be able to help you with the kind of stuff you are interested in. I'm working with some others on another side of this, trying to see what we can do to help Dale.

Good luck with your investigation.

"David" sent a follow-up to Sam and will be following up with Wes Keeler in the very near future. One thing about David that I really like is that I was able to place him IN town without disturbing anything the PM's have in place. This allows the PM's to use him in whatever way they wish as he makes progress (if he does) which may be to the benefit of us players.
