25 from where? where the hell did the 25 copies go?as far as i can tell, there are 5 on this board.....and i cant find anybody anywhere else. I dont think anybody figured out all the clues by themselves, which means they must have been at SOME board. so where are the missing 20 copies??

I got a "Please forward me a mailing address" email on Tuesday the 16th at 21:28:59.
I applied on Saturday 13th at 18:40:02, only after I read other people's posts on this board.
I have been involved in this for the last month though.
My thoughts on the matter are mixed. On the one hand, it's not really that fair on those following all along, who didn't reply to the Monster.com posting. On the other - it rocks that they're sending out free games at all.
In my case - I listed what I had contributed to the puzzle solving process so far. It seems to have had the effect I was looking for. I'm waiting for my follow up email at the moment.

But Legacy applied at 8PM PST on Friday, and he got 25/25. I applied at 6:40 PM GMT (10AM PST) on Saturday, and still got one (according to the email at least. I'll believe it when I get the game )
So I applied 14 hours after the 25th one was accepted. Are the letters really given out in order? I dunno, something weird's going on here anyway.

It's a longshot, but maybe the */25 isn't indicating how many games are being sent out. Maybe the letters are part of a puzzle of some sort. Are the letters exactly the same? At any rate, I'm bummed I didn't start following this as Ilovebees was winding down. A free copy of a $50 game I really want would be awesome.

i can't friggin believe it:

Dear Mr. Horton,
Though at first we were hesitant to contact you (as my superiors
advised against replying to any source with a .mil extension), I am
now convinced that you realize the true nature of our solicitation,
and communication can proceed unhindered. Initially, you proved too
skillful for your own good, so to speak.
Should you still be willing to accept the mission set before you,
please forward to my attention a mailing address where our software
training program can be shipped for your use.
All the best in your future endeavors,
Bill Davenport
basically, they worried that my application was a real application for a real job, and didn't want to respond....

I also wish to advise you in confidence that walking through one open
door of opportunity does not necessarily mean that you have left the
building. There are still many doors left.

From the letter, it sounds to me that they heard you complaining and decided to send you one to shut you up. Maybe it wasn't fair, but here's a good lesson to be learned here.

.... I kid. Congrats! I'm happy that you're getting one.

indeed. though i dunno if i was the most vocal of all the people here....but anyway, i think it was a combo of me complaining and the fact that they thought i was actually applying for a job...oh well, i'm happy.
oh, and thx
