Yay! That's great; sounds to me like the '.mil' thing was the real reason.

Congrats Hornet!

Found these boards Monday after flying this thing solo for the past month. Good to see so many others are involved. Very Happy

I applied for the Bounty Hunter job last week (Friday I think), but after reading the posts here assumed I was too late (one of the problems inherent in going it alone).

Anyhow... I got a response yesterday. So add me to the total count, be it 25 or 25+

Now on to finding keys for all doors left...

Good news all around. The lines about doors remaining open certainly implies that the ARG will still continue, despite the release.

Now if we could just get one more clue...

^ Yup, that's me. I got it. Hooray! I was getting all pissed before, but I guess not.

How many of these do you think they'll give out? 50? 100? And do you think they'll contact us again in the future to send us future training programs or products? You know, maybe *cough* Metroid Prime: Hunters or something? Razz Do you think it'll go on past this? I don't expect it to, but it would be cool (not necessarily more free stuff, but just to keep playing the Channel51 game with them).

Oh, and I applied uh, a while ago. I believe it was on Friday. It took quite a while to get a reply - clearly they let them build up, then send them out in batches... now I'll see if I got a response to the other account that I think I sent one from, samus.samus_aranSPLATgmail.com (or whatever it is).

Sorry to post so many times in a row, but... are you guys sure I'll get a real copy of the game? Has anyone actually gotten a demo disc instead of MP2:E yet? After all, the letter in the picture someone gave as proof to the skeptics did say that they were one of the FIRST applicants...

i've sent like 3 or 4 letters with nothing so far.....as early as last tuesday (over a week ago). even applied for both jobs at monster.com.

eh well, i've been playing echoes for the past 2 days and am loving it. i dunno what i'd do with a 2nd copy anyways. ebay or something.

still, what gives? Rolling Eyes

Well, eskimo, you should probably do the following:

1) Make tons of references to Samus Aran, the Metroid series, and Metroid Prime in your email. Don't make it like a real resume, just list your qualifications (I said that I went on my first mission on the planet of Tallon IV in November 2001 and went from there).

2) Mention something so they know you're not just some random guy who doesn't know what's going on - you're in on this. I mentioned KA054 and Channel51.org, as well as Samantha Manus. I believe I also mentioned the NARPASSWORD quote.

i made a couple very subtle references, but made it professional looking. i mentioned i worked under an Officer J. Bailey, and I signed my name as Aerin Sumas. also said i was excited to apply for a program that helps women who feel lost make their mark in history. then gave a ton of crazy info about being in aerospace programs and the military, but it wasn't MP related in that part. i'll give it a day or two then possibly try one last time. i'll throw more overly obvious MP references if all else fails.

This is exactly what I sent. Not too great, but it did the job.

Quote:
I am sending in this resume in regards to the Bounty Hunter position you have available at your facilities. I have been searching for a while for such a chance at adventure and cannot wait to start exploring exotic locales. I've always wanted to do such things, but have never had the opportunities presented to me. If chosen, I would easily be able to relocate wherever and undergo what training I needed to do the tasks necessary in whichever situation I'm put in.

I've been looking over your site for a while and would love to be a part of your establishment.

Please contact me in regards to this.
