When I was a baby, my cousins were fond of a kid's song called, "Germs, Germs, The Invisible Dog." I barely remember the song, but it's about a kid and his/her imaginary friend and the adventures they shared. The cousins went around singing the song when I was born, and the nickname stuck. My parents and a couple of friends still call me Jerms.

As for the "Super," SuperJerms doesn't tend to be taken in most online thingys, but Jerms is a quasi-common nickname for Jeremy. I beat everyone to most major places where a nickname is required (ICQ, Hotmail, IRC, forums), but anywhere that I don't beat them to (AIM) I just swap a 'z' for the 's.' I fully expect that SuperJerms will be my gamertag when I get an xbox at Christmas.

The superman logo was just something I made in Photoshop.

No avatar, but my name actually is Elvish. Got it when EverQuest was first starting, checked a page that had an Elvish dictionary, and looked up the word "Brave". And that is how it all began.

No way dude, cause I just tried that and this is what I got (natural keyboard, had to do one side at a time):
on the right side: hyjun
(which I rather like actually)
and on the left side: gtb
(which I don't)
Bang Head

No avatar for me. I am not really sure what a 'cheebers' is. Its a name I picked out for a Gnome Illusionist in an RPG called DragonQuest. I guess I never spent the time to pick one out.

Edit: this guy is kinda cute.

I am SO glad someone actually TRIED that. Thank you, Mr. or Ms. Cheebers. You have singlehandedly reaffirmed my faith in humanity! Very Happy

My original avatar was drawn by ariock and I like it, therefore I used it.
EDIT: Not drawn, but assembled. Smile

Then, for a brief period of time, I changed it to Lenore (my real name) by Roman Dirge, but it disturbed a couple of people (AngriBuddhist, in particular Smile ), so I changed it to what you see here.

What you see here is a picture I took at the Embarcadero Plaza in San Francisco. It is one example of an exhibit of ~130 hearts by different artists, installed all over the city, to benefit SF General Hospital, called Hearts in San Francisco, along the same lines as the cows in Chicago, the donkeys and elephants in Washington, D.C., the fish in New Orleans, and the pigs in Seattle.

I acquired this awkward moniker on a trip to England with some friends. We were commenting on the rampant use of HMR, and I SOMEhow I got dubbed hmrpita (Her Most Royal Pain In The Ass). I use it because I can always get it (though it is not usually my first choice). As I have told a few people, if I had known that I would be saying my name out loud, I never would have used it. Though, I must say (with some degree of satisfaction) that Zudini (Lt. Adam) had a little difficulty when he was trying to figure out how to pronounce it (himmERpitta?) the day he ratted me out to Melissa.Wink

Cherry Cotton, this was a cool idea for a thread. I enjoy reading everyone's stories. Very Happy

Mine is poor drowning Stavros, the hapless maintenance worker at The Aquapolis.

It's nice and small. 60x60. And not very big or animated or anything. Unless you look very closely.

Thankyeh, thankyeh ver mush.

The proper credit should go to ThunderRazor (where are you?!), whose avatar is an SD Gundam. We were walking along from payphone to payphone one day and we started wondering what SpaceBass's avatar was. I remember thinking it was some cultlike symbol, or perhaps a mystical cave drawing of somebody, master of the universe, turning a giant bicycle wheel and making the universe run, or turning day to night.

Turns out it was a circle and a slash over a guy falling into his lawnmower, from a user's manual warning you not to use your mower on hills. I started this thread so that I may avoid such thorough avatar humiliation in the future. Enjoy!

(I guess, in that case, the credit should go to SpaceBass. Oh well, everybody but me...)

Cherry Cotton,
Everybody but you...but mostly you! Smile

P.S. I love Spacebass's! That is classic!

Okay, a mod may have to remove that link for public safety because it is WAY WAY too much fun.

The one I made is attached. See?

I've really enjoyed Halo 2 so far, but the most fun I've had is in the menu where you get to choose Master Chief's multiplayer colors. Right now, he's violet and pink. Pretty! He's like, Home and Garden Master Chief, for all your kitchenware needs. Look for the bee emblem on his shoulder for the brands you trust. Call now, and listen to his burly voice talk about gardening. Operators are standing by. All your base are belong to us.

(You can also choose the colors for the generals in Advance Wars 2. Is it just me, or do I enjoy dress-up for completely inappropriate characters?)

(I swear, if I don't get to put Sonic in a skirt, I'm going to start one of those on-line petitions. Like this one, right now: WHY OH WHY SEGA no dress-up sonic LAMERZZ!!1!)

(2 signatures and counting!)

(I'm going to bed now...)

Peter Moore: Dress-Up Sonic is the future of character platform gaming.

IGN: Nuh-huh.

Peter Moore: No, really, it is.

IGN: We believe you.

That's a lot of fun! And yes, it is actually pretty tough to do...

I think mine turned out pretty good... I hardly ever get caught off-guard by a camera, so I annoy photo-takers (especially my g/f, who's a photo-phreak) by sticking out my tongue.
