ILoveBees Music and Sound Exhibition

Alrighty, the time has come. Several folks expressed interest, but only a few actually turned in song compositions, so I am first going to thank everyone who had an interest or encouraged the compo, and everyone who submitted a tune.

Now then, considering the limited turnout, I am going to invoke my right to alter the scope of the Music Compo. For those songs that I am about to link to, this is show time, exhibition night. I encourage everyone to download these tunes, listen, and give feedback, publicly or through PM.
If you arent familiar with the spirit of a compo, here's the golden rule: Let the composer know what you like about their song, and why you like it. Then, if you have criticism, make it constructive criticism, and keep it all in the spirit of growth as musicians and entertainers.

Now: I am going to expand this thread into the catch-all thread for any further audio creations of a fan nature, in regards to ILB. Making a song, but didnt know about the compo? Post about it here! Making a parody audio file by stringing together phone call clips? Post it here! I'll even be posting here later, as I got too swept up in the day to day of bees, and have had school bearing down on me every other hour of the day, and I didnt get a tune completed for this deadline, and I even ran the dang thing!

OH, and if anyone would like to mirror the things off of my server, I would appreciate it. I dont pay much, and I fear running over my bandwidth deadlines.

SO, without further ado, here are the entries, listed in the order they show up in my FTP client:)
-----------------------------------------------------
Craig Hardgrove - Axonical
A song written, as craig says, as therapy for driving to a nonringing, or nonexistant axon.

Nightmare Tony - (untitled)
A soundscape featuring ILB clips, played live by Nightmare Tony. As he says, "rough and wierd, but I like to write things strange ".

The Eveylyn Engine (homepage)
Evelyn Engine - The Truth
And the unified labor of DreamOfTheRood, or The Evelyn Engine. I have the song mirrored for quick downloading, the second link. But I would appreciate it if you signed up for SoundClick and downloaded the song from his Band's song page. Kindly save my bandwidth as much as possible:)

-----------------------------------------------------

Thanks go out again, from me to the entrants. Fan work is often under appreciated, and fan music is intriguing and a fantastic way to capture the fleeting experience of I Love Bees. Again, I encourage anybody who has been playing around with an ILB tune, bring it forward! And don't let me get away with not getting one up myself;)

Check for updates on future pieces, anyone interested. (Hint, PMs Wink I'll dedicate my song to you all)

Now, this post is not under the "supervisor" hat. This is my "music lover" hat.

Thanks to all three of you guys. Every one of your tunes has its own varied plusses, and very little minuses. In 3 songs, we have 3 very diverse kinds of music, 3 different ways of working the sound clips into things.

And I love the fact that I now can put a directory for I Love Bees in my Video Game Music collection.

Thumbs up, all of ya!

After hearing the Halo2 soundtrack, I've decided to do a quick edit of one of the songs to include ILB clips...it aint a ocmposition, so I'm not "entering" it, and I wont be posting it publicly, for reasons that the sourcee material is not mine to post, but if anyone is interested, let me know and I'll share elsewhere.

For those of us who wont be getting an Xbox or Halo, at least we are glad to give our money to the fantastic soundtrack.

And a wonderment, tis worth the money. Woohoo! Smile

Skillet: thansk on the linking. When IG et my computer back, got the other 2 to download. Wish there were more entries, but was still fun.... Smile
