Just perusing for the umpteenth time, but isn't it a little strange that of the ones that have a month listed, it is only ever the last 3 months of the year? (Oct/Nov/Dec)

Yeah, noticed that, but not sure what to make of it. MU ran from August (..ish...well, October, officially, not counting pre-game stuff) to November.

I was just trying to do the first letter thing with the abstracts, and am having more luck than with the full texts, although there are still a few dead ends here and there.

What I've got:
P
A
T
A
5?
6?
7?
8?
T
9?
I
=
PATA????T?I
May well be gibberish, dunno. It's in chronological order from the current year. 5?, the PSYCHOTHERAPEUT one, is in German (Eine neue Methode zur Behandlung posttraumatischer Belastungsstörungen). I don't speak a word of it, so maybe someone who does could have better luck. 6? and 7? are both in that journal that doesn't archive past 1997. 9? doesn't seem to be available online.

m-w search for any words PATA????T?I in it yielded nothing, so it's definitely not a word in and of itself, regardless of the missing characters.

dates

I've even tried taking the last number of the date (2004) and pulling the letter from the corresponding sentence (1-11)....with 0 being first.

I've tried about everything you can with what's given, so it's probably something with the full-text.

[edit]Wongmo update! Hee. Wongmo's really subtle with the clues.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
From G.W.

The password is: "Who are the Patriots" and "La-li-lu-le-lo."

Answer:

Wongmo does not think you are making any sense. However, he would like to take the opportunity to thank his followers for all the e-mail they sent him from the present year to as far back as 1979. Wongmo has been reading all emails and letters from A-Z, and (most importantly), back.

Ironically, I had already solved this a long time ago, when we got the first hint. But I was trying so many different things that I wrote it off as another gibberish word. I even tried to anagram it because there were enough vowels, not realizing that it's already an English word..

Enough of that..

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

2004 = a, 2003 = b, 2002 = c, .... 1979 = z

HAHAHAH that was me writing in trying to be random. Funny how they turned it into a clue. They're probably really disappointed in our lack of puzzle-solving ability all of a sudden right about now though.

PS the quote is from the game Metal Gear Solid 3, which owns my soul.

You let a game that goes ""La-li-lu-le-lo" own your soul?
