Possible solve, though I'm not sure what to do with it:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Firenze is the proper name for Florence, Italy.
Using "Florence" as the key in a Vigniere cipher on the text gives me "LCLOCKHEART", which could be a name. I dunno. What relation that has to the arrow also is unknown. Still, I sent an e-mail to lclockheartSPLAT wildfireindustries.com to see what happens.
ETA: The e-mail sent bounced back user unverified.

florenceSPLAT wildfireindustries.com got a bounce. I wasn't expecting it to work anyway. And since the new e-mail address is from wildfireindustries.com...
http://www.wildfireindustries.com/ just has a splash image that says 'Wildfire|Industries, get hired.January 2005'.
http://www.rainmangroup.com/ has a splash image that says 'The Rainman Group, Website down due to death of programmer . We will have this error corrected in due time.'

I'd have to wonder what kind of company openly admits they're hung up because of the death of the programmer, especially given that in the "recruitment chat" they admitted he'd committed suicide.
Shook the versimilitude of things just a bit, I'll confess.

No one else got the first email from them before this? Huh. I'll post the text below - it says who LClockheart is.

Dear Future Employee,
Congratulations on making it to level 2 of our candidate hunt! You are certainly on your way to a fantastic new job that's on the cutting edge of technology! What you will experience in the coming months will be nothing like you have expected! And to make sure you are prepared for the challenge, the board of Wildfire Industries has planned this special "interview session" for you all, so we can make sure that we truly picked the right people for the job.
Let me introduce myself. I am Firenze, an artificial intelligence coded by Delton Wildfire for communications functions. Mr. Wildfire and his elite team of programmers have recently re-programmed me so I can properly administer your interview session and grade you on your performance. If you pass the interview, you will be gladly accepted into the company's closed beta testing of the e-business program, "BlazeNet".
But getting there will be a task, I can assure you that. This interview will test your logic, intelligence, communications skills, and much more.
Now, let's get down to business, shall we? Mr. Wildfire wishes for you to talk to Miss Clockheart, his secretary. She is holding the next part of the interview as we speak, and is waiting to give it out to the potential employees. Contact her for more information. She can be reached online at the username "LClockheart". Good luck, I will be monitoring your progress. If you pass, you will be contacted by me with further instructions.
Maybe "the arrow" is a clue involving how we contact her? I've had that name sitting in my AIM list since I got this, so far nothing.

Hmm. I had mine over the weekend. I'll get a log assembled and posted. Very oddball.
(Also, as of now, 12:00 pm Eastern time, I see LClockheart on AIM, and just had a quick chatter -- so you may want to say hello now!)

The name Clockheart suggests to me some form of clockwork automaton (i.e. a robot, cyborg). Something to keep in mind when speaking to her, perhaps.

Just scheduled my interview with her. I don't think she's a bot, as I had certain difficulties like not being able to connect to IRC and then I also screwed a file transfer compliments of the company firewall so we had to reschedule. I think there's no way she's a bot because of how she reacted to this issues...
Also if you meant an actual robot, she seemed to show emotion, so in my opinion she's flesh and bone...

Yeah, like an actual cyborg or something. Not an AIM chatbot. If you have a computer AI why not have a robot run by an AI?

If it's an AI, it's a convincing one. It reacted with emotions and certainly seemed embarassed at the interview questions -- which included "Are you hot?" and "Boxers or Briefs?"
The possibility of 'borging is there, but I haven't seen evidence that WI engages in cybernetics yet.
Still a possibility, though. I thought something similar with Clockheart too...
