This is more of that revisionist history genre that the DaVinci Code popularized. I am not impressed.

Yeah, it was pretty silly. I caught glimpses of it and chuckled.

For some reason, I watched it in its entirety. It was sooooo bad. But it was that kind of bad that was fun to watch. My husband and I made fun of it the whole time and had some laughs poking fun at each other for actually watching it.

I got together with a bunch of my friends in library school, had a few beers, and watched it all the way through...very entertaining....not so much because it was a good movie, but because its funny to watch librarians(myself included) see our profession glorified like that Wink

Sigh - no one ever does anything to glorify dietitians....except put us in hair nets in a kitchen slaving over a big pot of stew (which is something we DON'T do). Or handing out pieces of paper with preprinted (which is what some other healthcare professionals think we do).

Wish we could be shown solving the mystery of why a child isn't growing (is it lack of food, or is it a rare illness)? Or sic the cops on the family who isn't supervising their child with diabetes (so he is skipping his insulin and stunting his growth, then almost dies in the ICU from metabolic acidosis). Or teaching a person how to avoid hideen sources of gluten (that has been destroying their intestines so they weren't able to absorb nutrients). Dietitians save lives! Yet we've never been spotlighted on ER or any other medical show for what we REALLY do.

So, if Librarians can get a movie, so can Dietitians! Idea

of interest to Joss fans

Here's an upcoming drama (not sure if it is a mid-season goody or in production for the fall) for all you Buffy/Firefly fans out there. This is Tim Minear's new show, and he has brought in Jane Espenson to help. Adam Baldwin has signed on to be in the cast.

Fox's The Inside

Aussies jump on board

Lost premiers on Australian television tonight, and Queensland's The Courier Mail has an article on the one regular Australian castmember, Emilie de Ravin.

And i'm not sure if the tie-in Flash game has been posted elsewhere, but here it is:

"THE LIBRARIAN: Return to King Solomon's Mines"
TNT brings you a sequel to "THE LIBRARIAN: Quest for the Spear"

Remember this bit of cheese on TNT from two years ago?
catherwood wrote:
"THE LIBRARIAN: Quest for the Spear" tells the story of a repository for humanity's greatest secrets, all hidden beneath the monolithic Metropolitan Public Library. From the Golden Fleece to the Ark of the Covenant, every enigma and artifact from every known and unknown civilization is protected from the forces of evil who, if given the chance, would use the priceless treasures for their nefarious plans. Only one man can keep them safe: The Librarian.

Well, they're back with a sequel!
Quote:
This December, Noah Wyle is back for more adventure as Flynn Carson, the unlikely protector of humanity's greatest secrets, in TNT's "THE LIBRARIAN: RETURN TO KING SOLOMON'S MINES". This globe-trotting action-thriller from the producer of Independence Day and the director of Star Trek: First Contact sends Flynn on a journey to uncover the fabled mines of King Solomon and a secret about his own family's past. He's joined by Gabrielle Anwar as a woman whose academic skills surpass even his own. Back after 2004's enormously successful "The Librarian: Quest for the Spear" are Bob Newhart, Jane Curtin and Olympia Dukakis.

(I haven't yet spotted a new Flash game to go with it, as they had with the first one.)
