Since this thread was derailed by it's author, I figured I might as well just ask what I've been wondering for a few days.

Where's Phaedra?

See: This post from Kali's account. Phaedra appears to be taking a breather to compose her 777 opus!

I can't wait! I almost feel like I did at 8:59 AM Pacific time on Fridays as I anticipated that big weekly 9 AM update to the images on the ILB web site!

Nice. Don't read unless you don't want to try the puzzle... and we *all* want to try the puzzle since we have nothing better to do...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You were expecting an opus? Heehee. Sorry, You just get a cipher.

The Sleeping Princess thinks I should say this:

This is my 777th post.

Please send peanut butter sandwiches for my achievement. The end.

Actually, though, I'd prefer peanut butter *cookies.*

By the way, I *do* love you all. You know that, right?

Congratulations on reaching such an auspicious milestone, Phaedra!
(I have to admit, I tried rot-13 and when it didn't work, I just looked at Angelo's solution Smile)
But to make up for my distinct lack of puzzling ability,
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

This is as close to peanut butter cookies as I could find:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v625/Gestas/ILB777cookie.png
It helps to move back from the monitor to see it properly Very Happy
I would direct-link it, but photos aren't spoiler covered, and I wanted to let other people solve your puzzle with no clues!

(I'm just hoping photobucket is a reputable source and won't change my innocent image on me, or spam me to death!)

Heh. I tried a few different coding schemes prior to settling on the correct one. Ton's O' fun though. Especially since I was working on it while chatting with Krystyn and Rutherford in IM...

This is so funny. I was eating delicious peanut butter cookies that I baked (I have the best recipe ever from the 1943 edition of the Joy of Cooking) when I solved this cipher. Pretty cool, huh? Cool Very Happy
Phaedra, congratulations on 777. Your fingers must be tired from all that typing. Wink

Thank you Gestas!!! That's so much *fun*!

That does tend to make things more interesting. But you still haven't gotten the message in the coding? Oh well. It was sort of...phonetic. Meh. Not important.

That just made my evening.

It's obvious!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Take Phaedra's original set-out, and the letters at the beginning of the lines spell out: YTTAB... Which is an upside-down BATTY!
So, either:

1) Her world is now all topsy-turvy, and I Love Bees has driven her insane...
or
2) Because BATTY is upside down, she has actually found a new form of sanity amongst some very not-sane ARGers Very Happy

Now I have no idea if that's close or not, but after 15 minutes of staring at Phaedra's cryptographic text-of-pinkness and muttering phonetically to myself, with sounds like "Her moyarg O gim jayee Guv", I think I might have driven myself insane if I didn't stop Smile

PS. Phaedra - all credit for the picture goes to an image search for peanut butter cookies, and a very clever site called TEXT-IMAGE.com. But I'm happy you liked it Very Happy

Oh dear.

Shad0, so close and yet so far. I should have mentioned that you should stick a question mark at the end of the stuff....

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
U XPECTD MO BRILY

Actually, it was supposed to be:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
U XPECTD MO BRILYANZ

As in: You expected more brilliance?

Not a particularly good puzzle, but then again I only had 15 minutes. Sad

Gestas, I like your solution better than mine!!!
