O! This is completely, utterly marvelous!

[META] Further delays to game launch AWARE2 is experiencing further delay, but it will have a strong launch in the not too distant future.
Quote:
[02:58] Lysithea: hi, shall I call you A2?
[02:58] A2Info-Mation: Hello Lysithea, that's fine
[02:58] A2Info-Mation: I'm afraid I won't be able to answer a lot of questions. But we do need to inform you guys of the current situation
[02:59] spaceboy: Please, do tell.
[02:59] Lysithea: Sure, that's why we're here.
[02:59] A2Info-Mation: Due to uncontrollable circumstances, our head PM, is going to be unavailable to us for the next few months.
[02:59] spaceboy:
[02:59] A2Info-Mation: The rest of the PM team had intended to carry on without him, and we had made every effort to prepare to do so.
[03:00] Lysithea: Does this mean aware2 will be delayed until next year?
[03:00] A2Info-Mation: However, due to how integral he is to the storyline, for obvious reasons, we decided that to do go on without him would mean that A2 would be a shadow of what we'd wanted to create.
[03:00] A2Info-Mation: Yes Lysithea, I'm afraid that is the case.
[03:00] spaceboy: Well, looks like Aware 2 is dead for a while.
[03:00] spaceboy: poo
[03:01] Lysithea: This just means we have good quality to look forward to.
[03:01] A2Info-Mation: We really wanted to bring it to you now, but it wouldn't be anything near the level of what you were promised, and we think a delay is preferrable tot that.
[03:01] A2Info-Mation: I can tell you a couple of things though.
[03:02] A2Info-Mation: The game will be back. Everyone one of us is dedicated to making sure that will happen. And not in very long either.
[03:02] Lysithea: I'm very glad to hear that.
[03:02] A2Info-Mation: Also, the game will be as intense and immersive as we promised you.
[03:03] A2Info-Mation: And finally, due to the situation, you may not know when to expect it to begin, so keep an eye out.
[03:04] A2Info-Mation: On behalf of the entire PM team, we are sorry for the delay, but we promise the results will make it worth the wait.
[03:04] A2Info-Mation: If someone would put this information up in the appropriate places I would appreciate it.
[03:06] A2Info-Mation: Well, thanks for your time, and we'll see you soon.
[03:06] *** A2Info-Mation has left #aware2.

Lysithea, green

I just signed up this seems AWESOME for a n00b like me.... I only went fully immersed not completely bcuz frankly I'm scared lol if Im not immersed enough where I am I may change later.
But lemme get to the point I was making.....has anyone thought of a disinformation factor? They lull us intoa false sense of security about a PM being gone and them WHAM that's what the storyline is about???

Nah dude, remember, when you play ARGs you have to be able to distinguish what's meta and what's not. When PMs go and contact SpaceBoy and Lysithea, you KNOW it's not in-game.

This'll be only my second non-Majestic ARG. My other is Orbital COlony which just launched. I haven't signed up ye,t but plan to go "Anything Goes".
I have ONE question maybe someone could answer. I'm current looking for a job, so sometime in the next month or so, I'll probably be moving.. is there a way to update or change my address info when that happens?

Yes, you can change your contact information and all other infos you made during the sign-up process on the ruaware.org site. Just switch to the "Player Login", type your mail-adress and password in and voilá.

I just got this in the mail today. I'm pretty sure this is related.
Also noticed ruaware.org is no longer there.
the address it was sent from is:
152-105 Amapo ct.
Wahiawa, HI 96768
Yeah! first CTW now this. This summer is starting to look very good for arging!
EDIT: 300th post, whoo hoo.
Mabey this should be it's own topic? IDK. Mods can move it if they think fit.

Haha, I'm pretty sure this isn't Aw2re. You sure you haven't gotten a real save-the-date invite?

Well I don't know anyone in HI. and I have never heard of these people before. The part that makes me think this is related is:
"We're sending out these cards, so everyone's aware "
*emphasis mine*
So if its not aware2. I have no idea what it is.
Also I seem to remeber from the teaser that someone was getting married, but I can't find the site. Perhaps it was on the noe defunct ruaware.org.
And the address dosn't appear to be real. At least it gets no hits when doing a google search.

Well, I mentioned this in chat, but for everyone not in #uf:
I only played the pre-game of the first Aware, but I do not recall any of the character names being Shannon Holley or Richard Walker. The wedding that you remember I believe was supposed to be between Melanie and Marcus. And I do not remember Aware ever having an connection to HI. Most of the game played out in the Pacific Northwest.
All that, plus the fact that I believe Aware II is on a permanent hiatus due to personal problems with the main PM would make me think that this doesn't have anything to do with the game. But, I've been known to be wrong before.

OK, you may very well be right.
Although I still have no idea why I got this invitation. I really don't think I know these people. If it's not ARG related it has to be someone I work with, but that makes no sence. I'll keep you updated whatever it turns out to be.
*crosses fingers hoping for ARG*
