[Halo 2] Zanzibar Error Message Here's a piece of worthless info for those who are interested and/or haven't seen it before:
When you open the Zanzibar-gate the computer shows a blue-screen of death with a kind of special error message:
Quote:

*Press any key to power cycle the system. If system does not restart, scream at top of lungs and pound on keypad.
*If you need to talk to a programmer press any other key.

I finally went exploring that map last week or so, after hearing them talk about "opening the gate at the switch," etc. Who knew it was so close to the flag, itself?
What a fun map that is. It's probably the best, balanced mix of pretty and functional that's currently in multi. Even the ambient sound there is just lovely, and really evocative. The gate switch made me laugh a lot when I finally found it and set it off.

anyone ever get their team to try that "Zanzibar Zinger?"
you know, that random hint that comes out while you're waiting for the match to setup, about parking the hog below the opening in the seawall that's facing the ramp leading up to the sniper rifle on the gate side of the map (they really need to assign a North to these maps!)?
it really is a big time saver when you're hustling the flag back to score. and it's nicer if you have someone in the driver's seat to pull the hog away to prevent the other team from taking the same shortcut. Only problem would be the coordination of pulling it off in a match.

I didn't quite see that work, but once in a CTF game I had a teammate jump and toss the flag into that doorway. Worked quite well and baffled the other team.

I find grenade jumping works wonders when pressed for time at the seawall
