Interestingly under the "Other alternate reality games" section at the end where it mentions "Perplex City Season Two" the website is incorrectly given and yet still works!

This seems to contradict a previous quote that Season Two would start in February. Perhaps they really are waiting for us to find the cube and season one to complete before season two starts.
Let's hope they're not waiting for us to solve the 4 remaining cards as well!
Well we were told that wether the cube is found or not it will start in feb at cubefest, well I think we were

I guess this an obvious one, but for the sake of completion, here's the BBC announcement of Cube finding.

Bit short notice, but if anyone sees this I'm due on Radio 5 Live Drivetime in about three quarters of an hour (5.50pm London time), assuming they don't cancel.
Edit: they overran, we started late and were cut short when we ran up against the start of the six o'clock news. But hey, it happened...

My friend was on the BBC News website and I was in shock when I saw this as the top story on the BBC tech section!

ixalon, I can't get that to play. It opens RealPlayer, which chokes on it.
NM, forced it into the windows player and it went just fine. Cool!

I did Radio 5's Pods & Blogs programme last night - haven't heard how it went, I seem to remember rambling a lot. The show's archived here , but seems to require RealPlayer.
Also did local Northamptonshire radio, I'll try to upload an MP3 of it - that one I know sucked, although they seemed happy enough.
Finally, a Northants local paper here, with scary photo!

Scary photo indeed. You'd think they were jealous or something.
If you click thru from the pods and blogs page the show starts playing at about 19:00:00, and Andy's bit starts around 19:7 and a few seconds with an intro about Masquerade. Terrific interview. Except the part about Yanks not getting Mornington Crescent. I beg to differ!

Mind Candy has announced that Season 2 of the cards will be released on March 1st. Who knows what game related events might occur before then. So happily we have no real lag between the two Seasons at all.

Rand0m interviewed in the guardian. I like this interview, some great questions, and answers!

Blimey, I'd given up hope of them ever using that! Easy work for them, for the most part just copying and pasting the email I sent them with the answers...
For completeness, here's the Sunday Times business section piece from the weekend.

That has to be my favourite one so far, maybe we should have a competition for getting you into more and more obscure publications...how do you fancy being the cover of "Microbiology Today"? Not that I'm saying the Liberal Democrats are obscure you know...

Got another one here, got the latest issue of PC Zone this morning. Comes with a free pack of "season 2" cards (mine were season 1 ) and a small piece on it being solved.

Solved!
Perplex City Finally Figured Out
The hugely popular alternate-reality game (ARG) Perplex City has been won by Andy Darley of Middlesex, meaning that he bags £100,000, a weird cube thing and the respect of about 49,999 other puzzle-fiends. The ARG has been running for nearly two years, with players from all over the world piecing together clues from Perplex City puzzle cards, events and a bloke at the bus shelter who mumbles cryptic phrases.
So where was the fabled Perplex City cube hidden? Well, in a forest in Northamptonshire of course. Where else would you hide the ultimate objective of a massive world-spanning conundrum other than in the bocage of Middle England?
The game starts anew this month, so we've decided to give away some free puzzle cards. Some Season 2 cards are included, but remember, Season 1 is still valid, as points earned from solving the cards can still be claimed.

Guardian 28th March 2007
This is only obliquely connected to Perplex City, but there was a large interview with Margaret Maitland, of Master of Secrets, Instruction and Broadside (have I missed some?) fame in the G2 section of yesterday's Guardian. I've not been able to find an online version of the article, but will transcribe bits tomorrow. She is "evil henchwoman" for the UK version of The Apprentice and her studies in Papyrology are mentioned in the article.
