In Pattern Recognition Cayce would sometimes recognize random people as fellow "footage heads", and I remember thinking as I read it "it'd probably be a great feeling to realize that a stranger ahead of me in the supermarket line is playing my game; or even to see mentions of the game out on the street - on a bus stop, or in graffiti, or on a bathroom wall "

Too true, ARG-Fest's being the way forward... Very Happy

...will be in Liverpool City Centre later today, will post a photo... Wink

I think this is actually super-cool. In Pattern Recognition Cayce would sometimes recognize random people as fellow "footage heads", and I remember thinking as I read it "it'd probably be a great feeling to realize that a stranger ahead of me in the supermarket line is playing my game; or even to see mentions of the game out on the street - on a bus stop, or in graffiti, or on a bathroom wall Smile " I think I may have said something about that in the "If I were a PM thread". Anyway, I think it'd be kinda cool and funny if we started writing that in odd places... or, maybe even designed some sort of sticker?

Pattern Recog makes note of posters and scenes from the footage being everywhere around london, while i know the note was made by myself it was after reading pattern recog, people who would like ARGs dont know much about them, i placed it there in a "come, be with us" sorta thingie Smile

The interested net heads would finally end up here, much like i found here after searching ILB stuff.

You were the first person I thought that done it! Though you haven't been about to ask!

Strange the connection between rock music / alternative sub-cultures and ARG's huh?

And now for something completely different...

[21:04] <+beano> my day did not go according to plan
[21:04] <%Wishi-san> Why what happened?
[21:05] <+beano> evrything happened today that was supposed to happen tomorrow and everything will happen tomorrow that should've happened today
[21:05] <+beano> basically
[21:06] <+beano> i'm very tired as a result and i dropped a table in my face
[21:06] <%Wishi-san> Eek, that can't have been nice
[21:07] <+beano> it wasn't too bad my chin took it but my lip n teeth 'hurted'
[21:08] <!Bill> the last table I dropped went away without a whimper
[21:08] <!Bill> mysql is much less painful in that regard Very Happy
[21:08] <+beano> heh
[21:08] <%Wishi-san> ba dum dum psssssh Wink

...hence no picture! We will all be able to see Nik_D's artwork Smile

Hey, I'm out in California.

And this is the first ARG I've really gotten in on before it started, so I hope I'm fully prepped for sleepless nights and being paranoid.

Maybe we should all work on a secret handshake or something. Very Happy

was it an occasional table??? --- the trouble with occasional tables is you dont know whether this is the occasion --- whats needed is an infinite number of occasional tables and then there's a reasonable chance of one being available ---- errr am i losing the plot Very Happy

Looks like i caused a storm of spec by accident, although i am pimping the ways that are ARG, they fill alot of time and makes u into a paranoid person.

Also i've met 2 fellow ARGers in work when one came in with a ILB t-shirt, tried to get em onto the PPC/PS path but they're taking a ARG vacation Smile
