Also, according to the apples in the kitchen:
Quote from diary:
"24th May

Endless research to do on S&S

Interesting 'About us' info

"Sable & Shuck, formally known as Ophis Incorporated, has
grown year upon year following the successes of our first
tempting deal in the FMCG sector."

Ophis is Greek for snake. And the Book of Star refers to Ophidia.

The first tempting deal of The Snake?

- the fall.
- FMCG = Apple?

Reluctantly I registered my details with them. I have to find out
more.
"

Maybe this has something to do with it?

I looked at that excel file, but I have no clue where to start. Did we miss any number sequence somewhere?

I found this entry at the horoscope page of the Hornchruchstar

You are at a crossroads in life. Whether you invoke a spirit at this crossroads is up to you.

On eof the answers of the corssword puzzle is Crossroad. There are more names and words n the cross word that also appear in the horoscope section. Could this be a clue?

Well, this must be babel in Hilbert's Hotel. And we can see this entry: "I was extremely disappointed to find that the book I wanted was missing. A wasted trip."
Hmm maybe it's Jon?

I reckon that it's missing because Jon Took it before this person got there... The Ibidem guestbook entry still maintains that everything about Jon's trip to the library, or to Hilbert's Hotel at least, is firmly noted in his journal - so there must be some way that we can decode the journal to work out what he discovered. I don't believe he would say 'it's in the journal' when it's not.

yeah ur right.
But why didn't he return when he found the book? There are people who returned cuz you can read in the guestbook several times they also went to another place before. So he can return to his home. But he didn't! Confused

I would assume that's because Shuck may be aware that Jon has more than a 'professional' interest in the company? And perhaps Jon feels more than his soul is at threat?

I think brigid harker is not the sister of Jon. The money rewarded for finding Jon has been applied by Omni Publications; also a S+S company. So I think the man in black is looking for Jon but he can't find him. So he asks us to find him and just tell him at the website of brigid.

Marlowe Digital

just an idea to throw into the mixer. i hadn't really thought about marlowe digital before, but stumbled across some info. that makes me think there's more to discover about them.

Christopher Marlowe wrote the play 'Dr. Faustus' in the 17th century, hence the name Marlowe Digital.

This suggests to me that the site is much more involved in the game than i thought, and so far seems to be the only site that hasn't wielded any links as far as i know. maybe there's more to discover.

BTW, if this has been mentioned before i apologise, i did search for it but i couldn't find any other posts on the subject.

and I found something new in the guestbooks:
in the europa, elysian fields guestbook there is an entry:
"I loved it!"
In the grey lodge, Devil's Island guestbook there is an entry:
"U were brilliant!"
Both underlined the U and the I.
Again U and I...

ok ive been going back to the hornchurch crossword. 21 by 21 = 441 whihc are all numbers we should be familiar with now. im going out on a bit of a limb here, but someone was talking about a book where the fibbonacchi (oh you spell it right!) sequence provided them with clues. well ive been thinking what if we put a fibonacci spiral onto the crossword itself, or use the golden ratio of boxes to generate words. im working on it, but if there's more of us doing it then there might be a better chance. also there's pascal's triangle. there's something there im sure, but i don't know yet. it relates to the golden ratio and produces the fibonacci sequence and also relates to evolution in a fixed environment. its all a bit beyond me at the mo, but i thought id throw it out there.

edit: also does it look to anyone else like there's a golden ratio grid of sorts imposed on the hornchurch weather page?

i think the u & i thing has been accomplished our entry to the hiding room unless the numerical equivalents of 9 and 21 are related and significant

sorry for the double post. but i looked at the hornchurch crossword clues in reference to the fibonacci sequence:

1 - Harker
2 - Rogue
3 - Hades / Hoof
5 - Sable
8 - Hornchurch
13 - Pact
21 - Serpent
34 -

is it just suggestive imagery that harker is a rogue, hades/hooves = sable, and its all a pact with the serpent? i dunno. i think its just coincidence or a nice little aside. but if u can work on it?

first letters of those answers gives us: hrhshps. rot that and u will find:

ROT-0 hrhshps
ROT-1 isitiqt
ROT-2 jtjujru
ROT-3 kukvksv
ROT-4 lvlwltw
ROT-5 mwmxmux
ROT-6 nxnynvy
ROT-7 oyozowz
ROT-8 pzpapxa
ROT-9 qaqbqyb
ROT-10 rbrcrzc
ROT-11 scsdsad
ROT-12 tdtetbe
ROT-13 ueufucf
ROT-14 vfvgvdg
ROT-15 wgwhweh
ROT-16 xhxixfi
ROT-17 yiyjygj
ROT-18 zjzkzhk
ROT-19 akalail
ROT-20 blbmbjm
ROT-21 cmcnckn
ROT-22 dndodlo
ROT-23 eoepemp
ROT-24 fpfqfnq
ROT-25 gqgrgor

or as i like to call it babble Smile but maybe there's a clue in there somewhere?

Jonny "hiding" Harker can't be a rogue as in bad person - he's the good guy! But rogue also means "to be different"/"to be an outsider"
So it would seem we've stumbled on a littlpe plot hint. Maybe.

The Wiki guide and the search function should help in checking that you're not repeating something. Very Happy
